Stop in for a cup of coffee

MTD. This list will scramble your brain. Husqvarna makes their own. SER FAQ: LMFAQ: Which manufacturer makes what brand names?
I'm going to question the accuracy of all that. It depends what year range your talking. Mine is for sure a husqvarna from 2016 with a Briggs engine.

I know MTD products when I see them and they are a bit lower end but Sears had a lot of mtd and a lot of others and the prices usually would give away which is which.

So I defrosted a nice ham that I bought last week. 2 hrs in the oven, with some baked taters...honey glaze on the ham.. Yum, Yum

I also worked for Sears for a year and half.

I applied for the automotive section, but they made me start in woman's apperal and the baby section.

I wanted to at least move to tool territory, but they moved me to jewelry which is stupid.

Luckily there was a pretty boy in tool territory who wanted jewelry so we worked out a trade.

So I got 10 months of tool territory and then I found a better job before i could move to either lawn and garden or the holy grail automotive section.

The branding vs mfg of mowers like many tools will spin your head around. I know my ‘94 Wizard (Western Auto)was very near identical to the Craftsman at the time and made by AYP. Was just reading that Craftsman at Sears or Lowes is still MTD. Others are new models by Stanley /B&D
Heck, MTD even makes John Deere's cheap line. (sold at the big box stores) I thought it would tick off the dealers who are forced to do warranty work on the cheapies. They often trade the customer out of it and into a JD Horicon Wisc. built unit.

Couple small rust holes. Not enough to bother with the welder yet. Just touched up with Rustoleum. Sharpened and balanced the blades. Will put it back on the mower tomorrow. Gonna get ready for work early and make a few store stops on the way.

I need to do that. Have a newer tractor with 100 hours on it. Called Washington Tractor (John Deere Service) and they would have it for 30 days! Nope! My grass is starting to grow quickly and since I don't have a tractor yet I used my tow behind trailer/cart for all kinds of crap. I need to pull the book out to see if there's anything more than a blade sharpening (done at 50 hours).

I was going to stop at Home Depot this morning for a furnace filter, but the lot was full. Decided it can wait. Never got close to see if they were all inside.

I finally got our apple tree out in the sun, bought a couple dwarf and semi dwarf trees (cherry, peach) and a Gooseberry bush. I'm hoping the deer aren't too brave cause this fencing is pretty flimsy. Also today they delivered 16 boxes of stone and corners for the fireplace on our deck, this should have been done during the build.

Here's something that happened this weekend and we were laughing about it until we got there. Wife read on social media that someone was offering to stand in line at Home Depot for $1 per minute, you wait in your car and when they get to the front of the line they text you and you take their spot. Holy crap! Anyway, we had masks, others didn't. Even though there were marks for social distancing, the wind was blowing straight down the line so you were getting blasted by everyone in front of you. Call me paranoid but I didn't like it. Should have passed like you did!!!

You can't go in a store here without masks. But, I went in market and saw several that had them over mouth but not nose including vendors.

The only thing I don't like is my mower keeps throwing the belt off the crank pulley when you disengage the blades.

So everytime I go to start it I have to put my hand in there and put the belt over the pulley or it won't engage. I do this before I start it because one time I got scared after I kicked the belt over turning pulley with the engine idling. Prolly not very smart.
There is a shield, guard guide that is not installed correctly.
Buddy had a mower that would wreck the belt due to a mislocated guide

Looking at that article it is dated 2007.
I dont think husqvarna makes their own, and deere certainly does not. The larger ones are still deere, but the riding mowers are mtd. Modern Tool and Die ...

Priced yuppy too:poke:

That's around what I paid for my craftsman riding mower. 46" deck with a cup holder and adjustable seat. And the seat adjusts to where I don't need pedal extenders so that makes it worth it right there. It doesn't have a gear shifter just a rocker type pedal that makes it go foward or back, that's nice.
Yeah, that’s almost half what we paid for that brush cutter

PITA day.

Yesterday when the high winds kicked up blowing 30-50 mph, my neighbors trash bag he had laying outside untied flew open and a 10’ x10’ disposable thin plastic painting tarp he had been using rode up on the wind and got tangled in our oak tree starting at about 8’ off the ground going up to about 15’.

It was tangled and twisted over all the branches on that side and the wind tore it to shreds wrapping it around branches in long sheets. It looked like a garbage mess.

I spent 4 hours with the long pole trimmer grabbing each piece and twisting it up on the end and pulling it out one small piece at a time. I eventually got it all and only had to trim one or two small branches a few inches long to free up the last of it.

I gave the guy a raft of **** over not securing his trash bags and putting them outside on a high wind day. Seriously dude, it’s 5 days until trash pick up and we have a high wind warning...secure that crap in your garage.

Dumbass.
