I agree with Craig. And besides, the TV news doesn't have better or worse crystal balls than the rest of us, but they know if they get your attention it helps ratings. So they sure aint going to pick a boring angle to broadcast. That said, I'm not optomistic about the course this thing will take in the near future.Watching the news I don't get this. The virus will prob double by June since they are opening up states. WTF?????????
Quit watching the news!Watching the news I don't get this. The virus will prob double by June since they are opening up states. WTF?????????
^^^^^^^^^^good idea^^^^^^^^Quit watching the news!
I havent watched the news in at least 15 years. I dont feel Im missing anything. Well the weather, but thats wrong most the time as well.
Our hospitals have laid off staff. The emergency and ICU is busy but there is only room for so many patients and staff in each hospital. They are taking care of the sick but there are no operations unless emergency surgeries. So much now days is elective or scheduled. (like my heart surgery was) Meanwhile the staff sits at home and collects unemployment while the patients continue to have issues. I couldn't imagine waiting 6 months to have back surgery because pinched nerves aren't considered emergencies.I think they dig up the gloomiest stories to put on the news. I had 2 friends one a Paramedic and the other an RN. Both went to NY to volunteer their time. Came home to say how over inflated the numbers were. And Hospitals around here and Pittsburgh suffering because not enough patients to keep them going. My county jumped up to 57 now but what they don't say is that it is all inside the one prison. A friend is home because he has it. Said for him it is no different than the flu. It's a bad one don't take me wrong. But I would sooner die from a virus than starve to death. Watch the prices of food this summer.
yeah, like those navy hospital ships, treated what, 100 patients total. this thing is grossly overblown, at least from a death stand point.I think they dig up the gloomiest stories to put on the news. It seems like some places are starting to refine that blanket policy of whats under 'elective', so serious stuff gets done. Our hospitals have laid off staff. That's called being prepared.yeah, like those navy hospital ships, treated what, 100 patients total. this thing is grossly overblown, at least from a death stand point.
Yes, I think some of that has been changed here. This virus thing has lasted longer than expected. It seems like some places are starting to refine that blanket policy of whats under 'elective', so serious stuff gets done.
Seriously think it is just starting.Yes, I think some of that has been changed here. This virus thing has lasted longer than expected.
right, I agree with that. I'm talking about the whole its going to kill everyone that gets it thing. That's called being prepared.
Prepared for the worst.
That's what your supposed to do.
Not figure it out after the **** hits the fan, when by then its too late.
Yea. But that's like saying the war in China wasn't so bad 'cause my old man was there and what he saw and went through wasn't bad.I think they dig up the gloomiest stories to put on the news. it is NEVER going away. Odds are, its already been around anyway. Its from the family of flu viruses, it's just a new strain of it. the human body will get an immunity to it and it'll drop in the number of cases. but it will never disappear. I think you're gonna see a spike as things re-open, then the cases will drop off as people spread out in warmer weather, then about the time schools start up in the fall, it'll spike back up in about October, right before the election.Yes, I think some of that has been changed here. This virus thing has lasted longer than expected.
