Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning, now they are saying the hotel where I work has a "projected" opening date of June 4. Originally they said May 16. Will be interesting to see how they orchestrate the manpower they are going to need.

Yea. But that's like saying the war in China wasn't so bad 'cause my old man was there and what he saw and went through wasn't bad.
when you know the details of course his perspective was accurate - for where he was. But its not the big picture.
I get what you're saying, but this image pops to mind..

Yes, I think some of that has been changed here. This virus thing has lasted longer than expected.
Also now most everyone is getting the supplies figured out.

Its great some folks have volunteered to help out the worst spots. The medical staffs in those places need a break. That's what being one country is about. Helping when the chips are down. And those who do it when the cost or potential cost is high - that's patriotism. The real thing - a willingness to sacrifice.

Seriously think it is just starting.
The numbers aren't going down. I don't pay much attention the the test numbers because they are testing so many more today than they were a month ago. Of course those numbers will skyrocket. The death numbers, which may be skewed a bit too, are what I pay attention to. If you die of pneumonia they are going to call it Covid-19. The death numbers continue to rise though which tells me that the virus isn't going away.

Still waiting to see Carlisle postponed. Seriously doubt it will be canceled, they do not like refunds.

Pretty much ALL deaths now are in the statistics also at least here and NYC

i disagree about the supplies. What they've been doing is diverting supplies from smaller communities to that of larger ones. For example, our local hospital serves about 75,000 patients a year, they're nearly out of PPE because the supplier is shipping to larger hospitals first. Which makes sense, i mean save the highest number you can. But you're just pushing the problem from one area to another

Same with our local stores, especially grocery stores. My half sister, the one I actually talk too, is a store manager at the local Kroger, they're about 60% out of most items, canned goods, pasta's, especially anything frozen. Meats and produce they get some stuff in, but a lot of it comes now from local farmers with greenhouses, about the only thing they aren't short on is eggs, dairy and breads. Which is funny because normally when there is a snow storm forecast, those items disappear.

thing is, when do they push it too? September? Late August? I mean, you have Nats in Ohio in August, Power Tour now in August, several other big name car shows have pushed back into August so I'd think they' have to push it into September and I'm not sure what the weather is like in PA during that month

Depends, last year it was summer like, but cool at night.

Wife has way to many pre existing conditions to take a chance. Just don't want to be face to face with a few hundred people that's just stupid, but then again I have not yet won a Darwin award to put on my shelf of shame!

Ya, I don't want to get it. My 94 year old mother could probably fight it before I would. If my sister or her husband catch it they might as well go pick out a casket.

A lady was killed by a gator near where I work. Witnesses say she approached the gator and it dragged her into the lagoon. What a way to go!

if anything, this should be a lesson to why a global economy sucks

you'd think she'd learned after that 4 yr old the other year in Disney World had that happen.

I think that's the main reason to lift the restrictions, probably before they should be. Economic collapse isn't a good thing.
yeah, dont get me started lol
