It is I enjoy it to. I remember in the younger years at night, listening to a rock station out of Chicago.

Which rock station...

The Loop changed formats a few years back...

But we do still have the Drive.... (with some of the Loop's old DJ's...)

Good luck finding music on AM any longer....

WLS in Chicago was AM back in the day... Now they are AM & FM... I think the AM till plays some music, I know the FM station does...

That's the station that Mr. Norm used to advertise on...

I discovered Sirius radio a few years ago. Hmm, makes driving, especially road trips, so much more enjoyable!!

I get a radio that can read MP3 files and make CD's with music to listen to on long trips...

I listened to the Loop in 1980, Stationed at Great Lakes navel training station...sponsored lots of free concerts....

Yep, they used multi capacitors all the time. You just need to buy 2 to match.....
You can wire them in using jumpers...
I'm leaning toward leaving it. If the shell is just a wrapping, leave well enough alone. This isn't my area of experience. When it dies - I'll deal with it or send it out for AM/FM conversion.

Good plan, now we know a little more....

WSM Clear Channel 650 in Nashville, Tennessee. How about 1540 KXEL Radio. It was a clear channel station back in the day. 22 miles south of me.

I thought thats what ear buds were for?
And you can totally tune out, even when driving.
Even if they can't hear what's going, at least they're not texting while driving.

In CA, ear buds while driving is against the law. you can use one, but the other must be able to hear outside noise. Make sense to me...

It should be.
The trick with these laws is for 99.9% of people to 'buy in'.
Really to hard to enforce when there are so many knuckleheads.

"You have a flat tire"
"huh?"
"You have a flat tire!"
"What?"
"You have a flat tire!"
"Uh huh. Whatever.."
:realcrazy:
