Good luck finding music on AM any longer....
I discovered Sirius radio a few years ago. Hmm, makes driving, especially road trips, so much more enjoyable!!
I listened to the Loop in 1980, Stationed at Great Lakes navel training station...sponsored lots of free concerts....Which rock station...
The Loop changed formats a few years back...
But we do still have the Drive.... (with some of the Loop's old DJ's...)
I'm leaning toward leaving it. If the shell is just a wrapping, leave well enough alone. This isn't my area of experience. When it dies - I'll deal with it or send it out for AM/FM conversion.Yep, they used multi capacitors all the time. You just need to buy 2 to match.....
You can wire them in using jumpers...
Good plan, now we know a little more....I'm leaning toward leaving it. If the shell is just a wrapping, leave well enough alone. This isn't my area of experience. When it dies - I'll deal with it or send it out for AM/FM conversion.

In CA, ear buds while driving is against the law. you can use one, but the other must be able to hear outside noise. Make sense to me...I thought thats what ear buds were for?
And you can totally tune out, even when driving.
Even if they can't hear what's going, at least they're not texting while driving.
