Government is getting us to act the way they want us to....
Nah. There's no such thing as "The" Government, especially in the USA. Mike's wife is just one example. A few hundrend thousand in many different forms, each pulled and pushed in many directions.

I used to have some great speakers for my stereo when I was younger... While I was moving back to Chicago from Detroit, someone broke into my house and stole my best pair of speakers that really made the stereo sound good...

I periodically do a search for them to see if I can find another set...

Well, I found a guy that had two pair of them and I picked them up yesterday... Now I have to make some room for them in the living room where my stereo is...

Woo-Hoo, I have great sounding tunes again!!!!

You gotta love those 15" woofers and cone tweeters....

I didn't bring my phone when I unloaded them at home to show the speakers, but here's a few pics of them I got off the web...

Unless you are cutting aluminum then you slow the blade down and lower your tooth count as it gums up the blade.

so I have a question for all you tool gurus. A couple years ago when my great-grandmother died, I inherited some of my great grandfather's wood working tools. One of them is a vertical bandsaw. Would there be any concerns with me putting a band for metal cutting in it vs the wood band thats in it now? I mean don't think there would be but I don't wanna destroy this thing either

It was my impression always that the wood ones wouldn't work for cutting metal due to their design limitations. Which explains why the ones designed for metal are much more expensive. If the wood ones worked well by just changing the blade, wouldn't people just by the cheap wood ones? Don't get me wrong, it would likely work fine for sheet for a while, but eventually you will find the weakness in the system.

yeah thats what i was afraid of.

Very much so. As you can imagine it is not the best dust to breathe.. full on bunny suits with masks and booties.

Could be an acceptable excuse for all the weight someone may have put on over the winter/Covid.....just the lead dust...? Just a thought in case anyone needed help.

Wont work. Metal cutting band saw needs cooling liquid to keep blade from burning out. And lots of downward pressure to cut...

Pisses me off. And that dumb azz that is running State Correctional Institution. Huntingdon did not follow what was ordered for what ever reason. Now that whole prison has it. That sends my county way out of kilter. I heard he now tests positive I hate to be cruel but good for him for having a f it attitude.
So you are not at that one? Sounds like this afternoon will announce more counties outside the two groups that already went yellow. But even those are not 'open'. I think a lot of small businesses are going to start opening and test to see if there is any enforcement. Probably some are already.

Arresting people here over non compliance...

Looks as of now, Carlisle is till on in July....hmmmmmmm
Its kinda up to the county, region, whatever they use health officer.
Ray said Carlisle cancelled their 4th July Festival last week.
The car show is only a couple days later. I'm thinking its a maybe...no.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Then I guess I have to take my metal cutting blade off? Has anyone turned their horizontal saw vertical to cut out a special piece? Hmmm....And most low level saws do not have the liquid to cool while cutting.

To sum it up. I have used mine to cut LOTS of metal but it is hard to cut bar stock into pieces...that's for sure.
