The closer I get to getting this poly lit, the more I'm starting to like the engine.

When I bought the car I couldn't care less about the engine because I was thinking "440/4 speed Fury!!!"

But now I am really leaning towards fixing the wiring problems and take care of it as is.

Ask Chris. Not really. Just run a wire from the Batt plus to the coil plus side. Then use a screwdriver to jump the solenoid to turn over...
MAKE sure car is in park and brake set.....

this sounds familiar... So I will only tell you what I did that actually got mine to fire.

I ran a jumper from the 12v positive on battery to positive on coil @Mopar Tim 's suggestion, and then hooked a remote starter switch up on the suggestion of OMR, and now mine runs, and idles, somewhat while blowing smoke out the breathers.

12 volts to the positive side of the coil and jump the relay with a screwdriver.
it's often a good idea to make coil connection very easy to remove JUST in case, alligator clip or a quick disconnect on the wire comes to mind

So they will grow sideways? easier harvesting than on a 50' ladder. LOL
they want to climb. But if you have enough room to grow them sideways, I suppose you could do that. Mine had runners sneek over a few feet away and Climbed up into my tomatoes Whatever you give them, they will grow all over it. The strings give them something to grap and a set path and keeps them together to eventually pick cones.

I have a perfect place on the east side of the garage. A gable end. It could make quite a impressive display.

i used a spade connection on the jumper wire end. then made a wire with a ring terminal on one end that bolted to the battery, with a female spade connector on the other end, connect the male jumper wire end when i want it to run. works great.

60 degrees and climbing.

Almost toasty enough to go out to the yard. Started out this morning at 42 degrees.....Too cold!!!

It's almost full summer so why should I feel cold, ever.

I'm always cold, so there is no such thing and too many blankets piled. I need to make an igloo out of pillows.....a piglooo

So I'm going to try to hot wire the poly because I found that the fusible link is blown at the bulkhead connector and the wiring is a nightmare.

The car has points so someone refresh my memory on how to steal my own car lol

I need to get power to the distributor and then crank it at the selonid......

Put a jumper wire where the fusable link was, then jump the solenoid...
