Stop in for a cup of coffee

We did our CHristmas here last night through Skype. It worked pretty good. It's fun the thinks the kids are excited about the mose. Often a stocking stuffer item or a bottle of Calypso Lemonade in the frig.

Did hook up the step grand kids though...

Well, oil pan is off and cleaned. Glad i dont have to pull the one of my old engine. Put rear main seal on, then install pan with new gasket. Guy that pulled engine out is a frickin hack. All kids of stuff chopped off. Whatever, it better run decent.

Morning all, 34*f presently, but wind pushing 50 mph. Might see 48* today, but won't feel much like it with that wind.
Happy Christmas Eve to all.

No. They weren't. Not at the very onset. The Excel was just as big a turd right off the rip. I dated a girl who had one of the first ones in Macon. It and most of that first generation defined POS.
1984 for Yugo, 1986 for Axcel. so yep!!!

Dang. 99 messages to get caught up on. BUT here I am.......................................

We got the Hyundai Pony here in 1983 or 84 IIRC, were pretty basic and simple cars, 1.6 or 1.8 L 4 cyl, I think you could get an auto trans, but very basic transportation, no a/c or creature comforts, all were 4 doors. They weren't horrible cars, fairly reliable, we had a few customers that really liked them, but rust was very common after a couple years.

So hunting high and low for oul filter housing gaskets. I know i have. Cant find them. Cut one out of gasket paper and open oil pan gasket box. Whats in there? The housing gaskets! Duh! I have to pull housing to get pan off. At least i got the new o-ring.

Like Frank it is bitter cold up here today. Well below zero F. Cold enough I won’t let Hemi out to help me shovel snow. She has to be where ever I am and she got the tips of her ears frost bit last year when it was twenty something below and I was clearing drive. She has her own doors to come and go but simply won’t go in if I am out, so I have to block her door to keep her in. Wife is still stuck in Denver trying to get home. She got a seat on last flight out today so if that goes tits up she will spend Xmas at the airport. Arghh!

Well, thats it for today. Painted pan and it can dry overnight. Shoulda used up my mopar blue to brighten it up, but naahh. Time to relax.

So. Dad told me I need a gnome or troll for good fortune...Scandinavian thing. Didnt have one, so I drew one today....
