If that R/T is anywhere near as fun as that V-8 Datsun truck we built in our teens, you better get HD cupholders for your beverages

It is supposed to be from what I have read on them. Thats why I want it!

Those are fun...

And can pull a tank... Lots of torque in that beast especially with the full time 4WD.... :steering:

Man, there are so many cool cars where I live, I think because it is a retirement town and all the old hot rodders moved up here to settle down. for instance, within literally a thousand feet of my house, there is a guy with a 1969 Hemi dart. then around the corner, another guy with a 1941 willys hemi gasser on alcohol. I don't know how I got so lucky to be brought up in the EXACT perfect place for a young hot rodder. Oh, the guy up my street has a 392 hemi in his garage and another 392 short block also in his garage. I'm surrounded.

Cruising E street in San Bernardino, in the good old days. My 64 Sport fury Convertible, 426 Wedge, 4 speed, Top down, hot girls sitting up on the top of the back seat, Did a block long burnout. Got busted, told to take these girls home and don't let me see you do that again!!! OK Sir...... I was in the navy home on leave....I do not think he actually saw me do the burnout, there was too much smoke!!!

My dad had his 62 sport fury convertible 361 pushbutton trans shipped to Hawaii when he was in the Navy... Mom outran a Honolulu detective in it one night... :steering:

We have 5... but only 1 is currently still open 24/7. The rest are open weird hours. Like 6-830a then 11-1, 4-7

We have way more than 5... But I only know of the two local ones that are 24 hour....

This is the suburbs of Chicago, they have one in every city near here...

Curious, there was a thread on here not long ago, the poster was thinking about buying a 60's white Dodge pick-up & wanted someone to look at it. Then he decided that he was going to fly out & drive it back home.
I can't find the thread but was curious if he indeed drove it home. Can anyone point me to the thread? Thanks!

Skinny Dipping

An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years...

He had a large pond in the back.

It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while and look it over.

He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, 'we're not coming out until you leave!'

The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'

Holding the bucket up he said, 'I'm here to feed the alligator.'

Some old men can still think fast.

Well, flight was uneventful, drive home the same. Got some take out, ate, did all my laundry, and now all set. Off to Jefferson Swap Meet tomorrow. Much needed

I have a feeling im not getting any sleep tonight. Seems that what was working aint working no more.
