Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning all.............No windshield or rear glass in Dart, and of course it rains last night, cover not on it. Outside......:BangHead::(

@halifaxhops Ray, i opened up my distributor, one spring was stretched. And the tiny pin it hooks on was worn almost all the way through. Also the slot on the shaft was worn badly. Pulled my spare and robbed parts to repair it. Thats fiddly work imho.
And it turns out the vac advance on it was good, whomever put the vacuum line on it cross threaded the fitting. Im still going to use the new one, but this gets me closer to a better running engine. Definetly needs all the help it can get. All cleaned and oiled, ready to fire again.
They can be fun at times. Glad you have the spare to steal parts off of.

Just got done checking out a AMC 390 distributor. Man we thought parts are high AMC is ridiculous. Nice guy wants his 69 AMX scoped out prob do it this week for him.

Morning fellers, mid 70s but windy here, rain tomorrow. Got the hot rod out for a drive, went well but lost a seal in the clutch Slavs cyl. Joys of old cars.

Delta IV launch still on for 13:46 PDT even with the current overcast conditions. No rain yesterday, cattle are a little disappointed  no fresh grass for the time being.

Even when they were easily accessable in the market place you had to know the name of the IH's parents, delivery Dr, which hospital it was delivered, DOB just to get parts
I am about to start working on a 1968 international harvester with the 361? Its for a family friend and boy, it has been sitting for at least 25 years. I'm in for a fun time. Also, ive looked for parts already and i am screwed.

I had a real nice International Bob tail, my driver lost his key. So he hot wired it, and blew a hose and overheated the engine, no gauges being hot wired. Heads were cracked. Sun of a ***** they were crazy expensive. So much so I never repaired the thing....

I likes the old Scouts, but sell everything under the floor boards from the radiator support back except the springs and add a 408, 904, 4" drop front axle, 9"

I believe that the ignition switch went out in the harvester and that is why it was parked. The scary thing is, there are two 1 gauge wires pos. and a neg. going into a switch, that is draped over the steering column, back through the firewall, and into the starter. And then there is an aftermarket sears under dash A/C that has exposed wires EVERYWHERE all of which touch metal at some point and will catch fire guaranteed.

They do get very expensive. Saw a Scout a few years ago and the parts it needed were way to much to do the deal.

all of this and there are around 50 or so spider eggs underneath the hood and another bajillion inside the car. not good for a guy that is scared of spiders.

International another crazy expensive engine to rebuild....
Agreed!

Revived a dead 152 for a buddy. In 4wd low, The little Scout would climb trees!

When "4 Low" was really Low
Friend of mine's father had a surplus CJ2 he brings it to work at the station for some maintenance.
I helped him with it.
"Let's go for a ride" he says.
Behind our service station was nothing but Mojave Desert, off we went. :D
After a while, "Hey ya wanna drive?"
We switched places.
Open CJ2, no seat belts, put it in 4Low, at idle I side step the clutch and get out of the Jeep as I steered with one hand.
" Are you f@#$in' crazy? :wtf:" "Get back in here!"
"Sure, what's the big deal? That's why they call it 4Low."
