Good Afternoon All! Back from Spokane, 6 hrs both ways but stayed over, left at 4 a.m. I am seriously considering softer springs and a little smaller tires for that truck, loaded up with kids stuff over a 5000 ft. mountain pass, hang on!

Well summit delivered new thermostat real quick. Too bad it is the wrong one!! Shows for 318 to 360 mopar. Nope. To small......

I would always pull the old spring out and clean it and reuse it. Even saved em from junk engines....

Well, let me tell you. At high RPM's, it prevents the lower hose from collapsing. Pump sucking more coolant then can flow thru the radiator ...Lower hose can suck close, without the spring....

I wound a metal coat hanger and installed it in mine. No issues yet with 5k miles. I’m going to service the cooling system this winter and see how it’s holding up.

Some friends are. At least one 900, a Sonnet, a '67 96 left between the two brothers. But I dont think they need anything.
One of them had a bullnose station wagon for awhile but think he had to sell (lack of space)

Yes

There's an earlier and a later thermostat housing and the opening size changed.
