Stop in for a cup of coffee

The ground doesn't have to be at the battery. Could be anywhere there is a good ground.

Example:

Take your pencil and follow the path to complete the journey from the battery Positive to the Negative.
It has to be a full circle for the lamp to light.

That path your pencil followed is what the light is testing. That's it. No more, no less.

Right now, I’m checking my connections at the starter. I hooked this up exactly as I found it on the old one but I’m thinking that may be wrong.

so I have battery cable going from positive to the big stud on the starter, now, there are two addition wires that go up to the starter relay, should they be on the small stud together? The way they are now, one is on the big stud with the main battery cable, the other on the little.

wiring diagram doesn’t show

So new tires are on the rims, man had to do the eather trick to get the bead to start to seal have not done that in years, they thought I was nuts. Dam rims are 9" wide. Darts are 7 I believe no wonder why they weigh a ton.

Sad part, one of you all done would be doing burnouts with this damn hung

Take your pencil, follow the wire 'til to see it goes where you want it.
Dont need a meter or a light for that. :BangHead:
Thank you for your help. I am tracing the circuits with the test light now and so far so good. Though I’m pretty sure the neutral safety is bad. And yes.... it’s hooked correctly
