Stop in for a cup of coffee

So tempted to go do a test tutorial on my starting system in the Fargo. Should be similar.
Maybe the dam trans lever isnt all the way back in park. Or in neutral. Thats what i like about my ohmmeter, it will set off a tone in a continous circuit.

i prefer my power probe, it has an automatic magic smoke release prevention switch built in (circuit breaker)
What else does Power probe's tester do that makes it different?
Circuit breaker is nice?
Can it be used both self-powered and as a test light?

hmmm now that is a thought I hadn’t thought of. The pushbutton cables have to be adjusted just right, They already connected to the trans when I got it , just connected the other ends to the shifter up top, but I probably need to double check their adjustment.
Thanks!
I guess what you could do is with the wheels chocked fiddle with the adjuster in park or N to see if you can get continuity in the NSS.

Now you wanna hear something painful... I bought 4 new headlight bulbs today. Took 5 different parts stores to get them. A pair of 5006s and a pair of 5001s.

21.99 a piece for the 06s and 18.99 for the 01s... them be some expensive bulbs. For what they are. Course rock auto has them for 6 bucks each but the shipping wouldn’t get here in time for Friday so oh well.

This is freaking cool

It is not self powered. Uses car’s battery. Will indicate b+ or negative circuits. Open circuits, no action. Shows resistance and voltage.
Rocker switch will energize probe,or will switch to ground.
Can use it to test lights or motors. Have been using one for 15 years. Wouldnt be without one.

I still use my voltmeter, and test light, but this is my go-to circuit tester. Almost like a logic probe.

Add in the circuit tracer kit and all bases are covered. Circuit tracer will change tone if a circuit opens/closes like during a wiggle test.
I spent the money, but i use it often.

This is the new version of the circuit tracer. A great tool when used with the power probe.

Interesting. I have a circuit tracing for residential wiring. Different of course. Sneds a tone thats picked up by the reciever. Cheaper than paying an electrican for getting wrong - again.
Thats exactly what it is.

Have any of you guys seen a 1-5/8 inch gauge for water temp or fuel level?
I have one little minuscule gauge that is a part of a three gauge pod, but I cannot find any other gauge that size. everything is at least 2"

I have a temp gauge that size. I fitted into my fargo gauge cluster.
