Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning all. Another nice day today 70's.
Rain Wednesday, followed by a couple cooler days.
Back to mid 50's after that.
All I want is enough warm days to pour the driveway pad.

Should have the R/T title transferred today by Marilyn, register it tomrrow hopefully before the dog has a vet appointment. Be nice to have it on the road to work out any bugs in it before winter really hits.

Well deer season weekend will be interesting next week. 5-8 inches of snow

Easier to track :D

And you'll see who's serious about it I suppose.

Do they close school ahead of the weekend? PA used to since most of the kids were absent anyhow
Not anymore. When I was a kid, we had “ISTEP Break”. Basically Monday thru Wednesday of the required state testing. Then we got Thursday and Friday off. Then about my 6th grade year, it went to just that Friday off. Then it went away a couple years after that all together.

Karl posted he sent a pm 10 minuets after the sale went up.
Another member asked to be secondv in line.
A few days later the seller reports pictures of what's for sale aga in. Two minuets after that the seller posts sold to first person to respondv I should have held a an auction.lol.
You draw your own conclusions as to what happened.
Maybe it's a straight up deal, but it sure smells funny.
I see now, yep ! Karl was first with a reply and should have be the winner

Lot less interest by administration's I guess.

More so a bunch of city dwellers whining about how many days off school kids were getting.

Yeah...can't have day-care closed.

I'm confused at the schedule randomness. Had a friend dealing with a teacher and trying to get make-up test scheduled (Covid exposure quarantine) ... the teacher said she couldn't accommodate because she has a second job.

Sad that it's necessary

You don’t want to get me started on that topic. Yes teachers don’t get paid enough. Yet there’s a crap load of administration officials that make north of 150k a year and teach NO one. The excuse is they need the administrative staff to supervise the teachers. The ratio of administrative staff to teachers, 1:4 in my district, 1:3 in the district neighboring ours. Oh and that’s not counting an average of 2 secretaries per administration staff. And then that’s not counting principals and deans and counselors. The highschool in the district next to ours has 5 principals( a head principal, and then 1 per grade), 2 deans per grade, 3 counselors per grade and all of them have at least one secretary and none of them teach. This is why teachers are underpaid. 55 percent of Indiana’s yearly budget goes towards k-12 Ed. But the average teacher only makes like 36k. The average administrator makes north of 150k. It’s a racket and no one wants to actually look at the reason why.

Military the same. Commands that don't drive troops in the field are created as dumping grounds for senior officers.

Yeah. But at least they in theory had to drive troops at some point. I sat in on the local school board meeting last year during this heated topic , at least locally, someone actually asked if any of the admin staff had ever actually taught students, at any point in their careers. only one of the 90 plus admin staff had actually ever been a teacher

:wtf:

Hey let's talk about something else. I come here to get away from the political discussions. The N&P forum is the place to go if you want to talk about that stuff.

Wilco... sorry for the wander

I tossed that Connecticut 440 over to a buddy who's looking for a new ride.

He started out looking at Chevys. I've got him looking at MOPARs now
