Stop in for a cup of coffee

That would explain what I would see growing up in N Jersey - it was mostly dairy cows and growing hay is or was very common, especially for smaller landholders.
It can be profitable at times. Right now, last year was a banner year for hay, so prices are down a bit. 4-8 bucks a small square bale vs the 7-10 of 2019/2020.

but figure you can get 100 bales per acre average, and 10 acres, times 3 maybe 4 cuttings a year and you’re looking at 12-16 k minimum off hay. It’s good for areas that flood a lot or stay wet long into the planting season.

So on this note, I’m working with a local guy that plants deer plots. I’ve got a 1/4 acre that i can’t use for anything else, so I’m gonna turn it into a small deer plot this spring

Protein is what puts the weight on. Corn is high in protein .
And filled with starch that can be transformed into fermentable sugars that turn into alcohol. Cheers!

When the wind was just right, and the dairyman up the street from the rock farm would dig into his corn silage pile, I could stand on the front porch of my operator's shack and get a buzz just by breathing :D

Love that smell.

So, didya bring that nice '64 from a couple pages back home with ya?
No. I hated to do it but I passed. The wife is giving some health issues. Way more important than another car. I'll find another one when the time is right.

I will take grain fed any day over grass fed. What do the "Grass fed" guys feed their cattle if they aren't in the pasture? Marketing is smart, people are ignorant.
Cow hay. Aka straw. Little or no nutritional value. Feed the good stuff to the horses nobody ride.

A few months ago??
I offer to cover sellers fee and its a wash IMO with the F&F fee.
I try not to use PP anymore. Just sometimes have to.
I got burned once using FF for about $25. So being more careful with that now. I don’t know this guy too well. But connected with a couple others I trust.

Got a 4 am text from my sister. Mom's O2 is down to mid 80's. They put her on oxygen and got ti up to 89 so far. Sounds like Karl's bout with pneumonia. Both have had Covid.

They also gave me nebulizer treatments to help with the O2 level....

I find that the fresh O2 raises the level about 3 points give or take one....

The nebulizer about 2 - 3 m ore also...

Ask 'em to change the schedule.
I don't understand why people get so hung up on what the state clock sez.
If it makes sense to start half hour earlier, why does it matter if the clock sez 7:30 or 6:30? Just go to work half earlier. It's nuts! :realcrazy:

Does anybody really know what time it is????
