Stop in for a cup of coffee

Have not found one yet...
Chrysler Historical probably has the info.
There was a thread started recently about the new contact info.
I'd jump on that before they get put in cacoon to be morphed again.

Yep guess so. They were under it with flashlights looking in places I didn't know existed...que Karl.
Working too hard.
I always questioned HTF the judges KNEW beyond a doubt what the saw was wrong or right. We're they there when it was built? I got harsh judging on my 66 charger. And you guys saw it. The one they auctioned off at Carlisle...

I took the Barracuda to MCACN once, a big-time judged show invite only.
I placed it in the original street class instead of trying for a gold certificate.
I scored a 984/1000. I lost 16 points and 10 of those were dust in various places on the frame...really?? :mob:
That’s nuts

Do they check the type and viscosity of the oil? That's always good for an argument or fistfight

I seem to remember a show (not TMMs), in the Midwest somewhere that we were at and the judge literally deducted points away from you because he could not find any flaws? I will not get the quote verbatim but his response was basically “they did not build them this perfect” I wanted to strangle the judge. Zman was waaaaay calmer then I would have been.

They were looking at the markings on engine bolts. I kept thinking hey I'm not trying for 1000 point class...haha!!
No real desire to do it again.

Yep the other big MOPAR show you and I went to the two judges looked several times down the passenger side of the car.
They said it was wavy. I pointed out to them what they saw was the reflection of the car parked next to me.
I offered to pull the car out so they could get a better look...:wtf:

I built a 66 hemi charger. It was nice. Never even got honorable mention at shows. I asked a judge what gives. its secret what we look for...

When I finished the 68 roadrunner. I took it to the Chrysler Nationals in Columbus Ohio. I believe the year was 2014. I entered in the 68 Plymouth class. They judged it along with all the other 68b bodies that were there. I got second place in the country for the car. I believe the points were like 987 . I had some things that were changed on the car even told them about including the carburetor. But overall I was pretty happy with the results. Pick is not from the Nationals. Pick us from my cell phone pics from the national or on my laptop

I have all the original bolts. For sure they are going back on...

I really do not know I want to do another high effort restoration...

I got so far down as to find an original Carter carburetor which for a 383 4 speed was a difficult feat.
Funny thing no one even at national shows has ever looked.
Finding all the original parts for the car was fun.
We've taken it to I don't know how many car shows, local, regional, and national.
I think maybe 10 people have known how rare the car is, and only one person knew what the recall steering wheel was, but we don't care. We just think it's a pretty cool car.
We love the car and but most of all showing, sharing, and talking MOPARS with other car people.

Here’s my steering wheel, on the dash! Hah! My version of a 100pt interior, toggle switches and QD steering. But seriously it is amazing listening to Craig and his wife talk to folks at the shows about the car. There are just so many folks that are genuinely interested and share knowledge back and forth. I always learn while listening in. The detailed knowledge of some of the spectators is amazing.
