Stop in for a cup of coffee

For sure, Jodi picked up on it last night as I was in some sort of funk. It is a serious adjustment. Pretty sure I will not miss serving on this board or that one. Thankless gig right there! She figures out how to manage the guilt of leaving team behind and so much not yet done let me know!
I told her I understood her loyalty to her team. Like when I retired I told her she'll have a replacement and the agency will continue to run. She's done a great job the last three years, made positive changes, and moved them forward. Every good boss should do that though. I'm sure she will get calls and help like with budget the first time and I'm good with that. I told her to get ready to focus on herself, and have no daily schedule but her own...at least until I need help with the yard. :D

Evening, they are trying to get us centered in the drydock so they can lift the boat. Wind is not cooperating.

When my buddy retired from the municipality public works, he stepped off a sinking ship. When the new manager took over, everything went in the shitter. This spring thaw is causing lots if problems due to the idiot managing. The guys are usually out steaming culverts, now they wait for a complaint. No preventative work in regards to flooding.

Hey a plus! I’ll be just an hour away from the Bottoms Up Expresso bikini coffee shop!

Not perfect but it works and no leaks. (first try) The flex lines are a saver. Thanks to a particular you tube vid for the Fleck valve. Late yesterday we had soldering issues. I voted we walk away and come back today.. Much better this morning. We cut out some bad couplers and elbows and went back to old school solder prep with emery cloth, steel wool, and some new Flux. I set the Map gas torch aside and went with the good ol' propane. Perfect sweat solder joints and no leaks. We also switched locations of his washer/dryer so the doors didn't block each other and installed a couple anti-hammer valves. Another successful project. Sorry for rambling. I'm had fun working side by side with him. We noticed after we were done that the softener tank was leaning and the brine tank wasn't. Looks like it is a little crooked in the black base. Nope, Shim it. I'm not going to attempt to fix it. It all works, don't screw with it any more. LOL

Went out to the pool to do my usual pool cleaning and maintenance and chemical checking this morning. These youngsters said hello as they walked by in English. So I talked to them for a few minutes some of them know English okay. They asked me if they could come inside and look at the pool so I let them in. I think they had fun for a few minutes. Look at the homemade slingshots they were carrying. The simple pleasures of children in Vietnam. I'm sure they are quite poor.

Man, the last three weeks have been so busy I even forgot to tell you all that I finally got an exhaust on the duster.

And 4 new shocks!
Since it is march in the desert, it has been pretty hot and whenever I drive the duster it gets up to 190-210. I don't like it and now that I have a thermostat in it, the problem got worse since it heats up quicker now. Since I have no money again, I was able to cut a deal with my parents where I weed the whole yard and they'll pay for a new radiator.

Had the weld shop at college weld it up for free too. the teacher even hand delivered them.
