What island ?
Whidbey island, you can drive off, have to cross Fidalgo island to get to mainland but it's really just like any other road unless you're at Deception Pass Bridge, that's different : )
What island ?
Hmm if you could find the ground stakes, you’ll be golden.
He had the ground stakes for this set up, they looked like large tent stakes, also olive drab green. They were too small though, would pull up/out for sure.
No, the “ground stakes” you need for those are basically a short piece of pipe that looks like the pipes you have, that are hinged , on side of the hinge is a large spike that goes to the ground. He had the ground stakes for this set up, they looked like large tent stakes, also olive drab green. Be careful they will split easilyI'm going to grab my maul and pound one of em in, see how stable that is with only 4 feet out of the ground and just straight pipe going into dirt.
A reason to buy more tools, no?I think I can fabricate the needed pieces....
Hypertherm.I'm telling my wife I need a plasma cutter!

Sorry to hear budDamn, I am just crushed. I just got word that Dennis Hogan passed away. A great guy, a senior partner with Hogan/Hansen a The CPA firm my wife was a partner in. He loaned us money so I could get started in the tool business. Always a nice guy and respectful. 80 years old, he and his wife walked past the house twice a day. 80 and in good health. He tipped over in his kitchen over a cup of morning coffee.
WTF is going on? I think I will have a drink in his honor. Dennis liked his Scotch.Sorry to hear bud

Thanks @RustyRatRod for the link and @Old man ray for the callout
Done. 5 days. Guess I need to get at some other things in the interim.
Dug through the paperwork again. It's a 1981 motor
New ones look like they'll fit the right side but almost an inch thinner?
Left side is a different style. Single bolt to the K and single onto block bracket.
2303 driver's side and 2304 passenger's side. They're tough to find. Here is a nice pair of high quality poly mounts. They're proud of um though.

I *think* I have one of those in good condition. Might have come off my '67.
Let me know if I should look. I can check the Engine swap chapter to see if the p/n changed when the K-frame changed.
I know for sure I have an early transmission mount with two studs - that I bought new.
No telling what K it is. Lol. Mounts were completely different 73 up though…OK.. so if the engine is an 1981 /6 is the K different from the early A?
I believe early v8 and /6 k frames are the same.No telling what K it is. Lol. Mounts were completely different 73 up though…
