I thought mri’s were a no go for guys that did a lot of metal work?

Anybody know how long you have to stay in the tube for a shoulder MRI? I am not a fan of tight spaces. Pretty sure they won’t let me do four doubles before I go in? I will close my eyes control my breathing and count backwards from a thousand!
Sorry I can't help you here. I always fall asleep.
They do offer ear plugs if the rapid fire noise bothers you.

Tell them that they will scan you fast. Would seriously suck having all the steel ripped from your body. Or you can get stuck to the side and go for a ride!

30 minutes last time I did mine. I finally went to a place that had the open style MRI machine...GREAT!!
Like you though eyes closed easy breathing and think about a happy place.

One of the questions I have on Monday. I cannot help but to think I got metal all over me?

I was in for quite a while for my shoulder. Open MRI are available at other locations and I would have had to schedule that separately and pay more. They gave me ear buds and had music on. It helped.

*** Also because of the work and hobbies I do, they told me I needed to get XRays of my eyes - for metal. They said any other metal can just get "warm". Eyes, it will remove it for you with the shortest route. Makes sure they do that ahead of time!!

I got the service manuals. I want the home repair books. I know enough to do a lot just enjoy knowing more or have a book to consult to double check.
