Yeah Hop...I usually see whatever weather about 12 hours before it gets up to the South Central PA gang.

Again, glad I got the roof done when I did. Weather guessers were correct.
I guess the last two trees have to wait a day or so. kid is doingg a good job. He is blown away how fast that foley machine cuts the chains better than new! 5 trees same chain only sharpened once so far.

Ah, so im not alone. I had pellet stove on the next higher setting most of the winter, with electric totally off. Same in the house. Started with 20 bags left over from last year. Between house and shop is 200 bags total.
We had about ten left over from last year. I was trying to be at about same place. Once it gets cold we fire pellet stove off as primary heat source and do not shut it off until Spring, it ain’t off yet! But it is snowing this morning so I guess it’s legit. We just use electric heat as emergency back up. Pellets rule! We purchase the good ones as it burns better and cleaner. When you do the BTU per dollar they are more efficient.

Pellet stove in basement, built a slide to bring pellets in through a window. 30 minutes and 60 bags are stacked. Basement is warmer than when electric is running.

So, 200 40 lb bags i loaded into 2 pellet stoves.

Ours is in the basement as well, heats up whole house. Downside Jodi simply does not like the stack of pellets in basement so I have to hump them in, a bag at a time as needed. We keep the pallet of pellets in garage. No point arguing with her it is like arguing over color of the drapes.

Looks like we're gonna have us a good ole Santa Ana type wind event today through Friday. NE winds and 90° highs :realcrazy:.
We are supposed to get some of those winds here in the breadbasket. 40 mph winds from the west. My MIL is coming here today but lucky for her she lives straight west from here. Sail on her Equinox?
