301?????OK Matt has a weird *** engine in his 57 truck looks like a poly but a one barrel? Where is the number. Engine was changed also definately a older one generator and canister oil filter.
That makes sense! I thought about blasting thru your place this last weekend but it was a zero fun event type trip. Plus I was just plain scared to stop for fear of losing a solid day to Gatorade and apple pie!Morning dreamers!! Nothing other than the heat here again for another day or two.
Guys were here yesterday installing a door and frame and a couple screen doors.
I don't door doorways because those doorways can be a ***** to square and it was.
John it was the garage door leading off the mud room to the small garage got a screen door.
The doorway in that garage leading out to the patio got a new door and frame plus a screen door.
Looks great!!

I am curious, how’s business levels been lately for you compared to normal pre Carlisle yearsSaw that just PM'd him back. That was early this AM.
Yeh, it is. But looks like I will be working Saturday. So it's kinda like a regular week that started late...Wednesday already.
Good morning

@halifaxhops heres one in a 57 Coronet. Looks about right... Manifold anyway. Don't recall if it had those 'scalloped' valve covers.325 in a lot of 57-58s.
Love those Poly's. a intricate 2 bolt valve cover that doesn't leak! LOL
It is always something...morning allUgh. So much to do. So little time before Carlisle. And all I want to do is nuthin (except sit here and drink coffee)
Latest snag in the bathroom project -Trying to flatten out the wall where the door side of the closet was. The 'now extra' 2x4 in the wall is warped. Probably that way when built, but it didn't matter before. After I closed it up it was a big bulge in the drywall. I sanded out most of it. Still need to do a little more. Just hope I don't thin it too much that it cracks later. Should have ripped out more drywal and trimmed the stud flat. If it don't look right after my next effort, its getting ripped apart again.
Also not satisfied with the marble tiles I got for backsplash. Can see 'cross grain cracks' that would really suck if they open up after the vanity is in place. Picked up a few more of them to try. ...
Morning Tim, be sure and put some extra time in your travel budget for Carlisle. Not sure if it will still be a poop show or not at fuel stops but it really cost me some time this last trip. Every stop was a hot mess, I am guessing due to the holiday traffic so perhaps it may not effect you? Lots of stops also forced me to go inside for receipt, that was a pain, slowed everything down. Lines at pump was the norm, usually just a couple of trucks tho. Heads up guyIt is always something...morning all
Sure seems that way. When do you plan to leave there? It is always something...morning all
My freaking rib is killing me. Leaving Friday early....hurts more sitting. Great....it is a good idea not to fall off a ladder......you have any idea how many ladders and poles I climbed and never had issue ? I guess odds catch up eventually...Sure seems that way. When do you plan to leave there?
How's the rib(s)? I still feel mine from months ago if I overdo it. Never figured out if it was a crack or muscle strain. Sure slowed down my Spring plans though.
Quick in and out not even 5 minutes..
