You boys are forgetting about the three essentials of a road trip. One must always stop at, liquor store, strip club, and a gun shop. Ya just can’t pass those up.
And not necessarily in that order
Merc runs. Still had a misfire, but the cylinder i was working on was firing. Other side of engine had a stuck intake valve. Pull plug,tappy tap tap with a round rod and it moved. A few times and then i fired it up without plug in that cylinder. A few times tapping on valve got it to keep moving. Stop engine and install plug, runs nice now.

Yes/no. The first mission is digging it back out. Remember the big shed it was in? Yeah, 6 other barns full of equipment and stuff got shoved in there with the whole squatter situation . So I gotta get everything re-arranged and space to work on it.
