Same here, seen prices the first of last year trying to get 70 a wrick... I have two trees down, one cord of last years cut, and will get 3 cords out of the trees (oak and Hickory) i cook with both, but seams i like oak better.
I have 400 tree waiting to be used..

That is a 'face cord' or a 'rick'.
A cord is a cord. Period. While people sell in all sorts of configurations, the 'cord' is the only trade legal measurement for firewood. 1 Cord = 4ft x 4ft x 8ft.

Last time I bought firewood I bought a whole semi. 15 pulp cord. 4x4x8 each. $500. Hard maple. Best firewood as it will leave a perfect bed of coals to keep the fireplace or wood stove burning 24/7. 2 kids from town cut, split and stacked it for $300. Sold. Took them 1 day.

I’ve got a TON of Beech I’m gonna be cutting. Should make some nice firewood. Wonder what it’d sell for

So had no cel service for a while. Some crazy sections of road here.Steep and lots of sharp corners.300 or more foot drop offs,some have no guardrails. Saw a trail of smashed trees, someone went over. Seems the bikers like it, lots blew past us. Tonight we are at mountainview inn. Yup, mountains to look at all around.pictures do not do it justice. They big.

That's a lot of wood! (go Karl) lol
There is some regular Maple and a couple Cherry logs in the pile I have now.
If it was a true 15 cords, I'd probably have some rotting before I got through it. I did a load of logs many years back. Was supposed to yield 12 cords and I'm sure it was less than 8... But it still worked out better cost wise than buying by the cord.

It was a lot but all stored in a nice covered shed. Burnt fireplace 24/7 for several winters straight. Fire didn't go out completely for months at a time. No fireplace at this house, so just campfires.
 
Almost finished. Needs to be trimmed out and small touchups and done and window installed

Wow! No rain here for a month. It just started pouring. And a few minutes later it stopped.
 
Wife said she wasn't hungry. I was in the mood for som BBQ chicken. But was getting late to start that. I needed a couple things at the store...
Grabbed a rotisserie chicken, still hot. Cut up. Smother in Sweet Baby Ray's and grill for like 10 min. Yumm.
Of course it couldn't be quite that simple as I ran out of propane 5 minutes into cooking. Luckily I have a place that refills like 2 min from the house. So got it going again pretty quick. :thumbsup:
And, surprise surprise, Wife decided she was hungry when she smelled it...

Well, it definitely isn't like a raspberry sour type, still very much a heavy stout. Authentic raspberry after notes. Didnt seem fake.
 
Fukin Microsoft forced an update on my laptop. Now no WIfI. Shows driver problem but in device manager shows driver is correct. Fucers. I'll need to run a Ethernet cord to it to get online to try to fix driver....:mad:
