Stop in for a cup of coffee

Any one ever see a heat shield on a 66 225 that goes over the top of the intake manifold to the side of the carb? I am not sure if it is factory or home made

No, but I've seen one built around the top of the exhaust manifold where it meets the intake...

I will take a pic of it. It is on top of the intake like a flat plate goes to two studs and has a clamp from the head to the middle like a holdown, just odd never saw one before and neither did Keith.

well - not glad about how it came about, but I am glad to know there will be another lift and load day - maybe I'll be able to attend this time... watch it be while I am on vacation or some chit... LOL

Nice shootin the breeze with you guys, time to head out for a haircut, gotta look good tonight when the inspectors are in the house...

One day event next time, no keg, no pa sausage for ben, Pizza and cheap cans this time around.

I've got this great - I hope - swap going on.

I can swap my LD4B for an Edelbrock RPM AirGap. Along with that I can get a set of magnum heads for $150. On top of that I've just bought a milder cam. 228/231@50, 0.450/0.455 lift in stead of 238/238@50, 0.474/0.474 lift.

I'm hoping this will make my 360 the low-end torque monster I hope for.

Maybe I should get 1.6 rockers to increase lift? That would make the smaller cam 0.480/0.485 lift.

Or maybe just go with Rhoades lifters and the cam I already have?

the rockers are a little expensive but most people will say they are worth it.. that intake swap is a 100% go!
