Question:
Where do you guys hide stuff you dont want to lose? ‘Cause i lost it.
The shift linkage from transmission to column is gone! Gm uses a mech linkage to lock the shifter, even though cable shift works. Im at a loss.

Not by design, but I leave it on the floor next to where I took it off. So I trip on it every time I walk anywhere. Then I put it off to the side to be lost forever...

Hey guys. I am considering a new pistol. CC permit. What is some advice?

Auto or wheel gun?
Personal preference on caliber.. for me, reliable brand, slim design, light in weight and not super expensive so if it ends up in an evidence locker you aren't out a big chunk of change.

Springfield, Smith & Wesson, Glock and Ruger come to mind

9mm is a fairly light round and not overly expensive to train with

Craig just traded a couple in for a new one. Lord only knows how many pages back that discussion was. Oh Zman. Three he is now!

I need Ray's address to mail out the stickers. Someone PM it to me? He is MIA and didn't answer his phone.

This is what I have. The button on the inside of the grip just below the trigger guard activates the green laser.
Yes there is a top half this just shows the sight set up.

I have two very old medium size suitcases, blue one holds all my trans to carb cables and trans mounts, all the information I run copies of for trans to carb parts, my old gray one holds all the information and parts for my engine bay, pullies, alternator mounts and even alternative mounts . If anything happens to me my two sons will not be in the dark, but yes, buy a couple old suitcases from a flea market or grab a couple from old friends, they work great and most have a place for paper work.

Just talked with Krazykuda and yes, he is back in the hospital, worried about blood clots in his legs, shins and nea areas have been giving him fits, hurting, so he is getting check , he seems to be in good spirits except one thing, he took an ubor costumer somewhere, 45 minute drive that sounded sick, coughing and such, but I hear a strong happy voice over the phone

9mm is my choice for many reasons, 9mm is a nado round, always available compared to others, inexpensive, and comes in many fashions, target rounds, hollow point, even gut busters , I hope to find a good 9mm rifle I can afford so I can just keep stocking up my 9mm rounds

Some will frown on this, but I love my P111 9mm Taurus, great fit, 12 round clips and I have yet to have any problems with it, cleans easily as well. Yep, over 350 rounds threw it in 4 years

Well there is a easy solution to finding it, simply order another one and the original lost item will turn right up!

I've got storage totes and containers I use for small and medium things everything goes into a corner of the garage. Big stuff gets painters tape tags on it...

But I agree with John... buy a replacement and the old one will appear

Well here goes my long winded “instructors” response. First and foremost be very honest with yourself as to intended use and purpose of pistol. then a realistic assessment of how often you will actually carry it, on your body, stuffed under truck seat? Once you answer those questions you have your design parameters if you will. Folks like myself, Willie and Craig have worn a pistol every single day of our lives for so many years as part of our job it is simply no different to us than most folks putting on their shoes. As a result what we use may not suit you. From there I would consider how you like to dress, while that sounds silly the reality of carrying a firearm full time concealed will change your wardrobe. Do you intend to carry in appendix carry, inside waist band, outside waist band? Again this can have a impact on your selection. Once again as you establish the criteria your selection range narrows yet again. As already stated in previous responses a 9mm is likely the most prudent for you. Again making a educated guess knowing your stature (body shape) and geography where you reside you will likely end up with an IWB method. As a result I would look at a non full size framed pistol. Go to your nearest gun shop and fondle every pistol in the case, do your best to ignore sales guy trying to upsale you. My guess is a SIG or a Glock is where you will end up. Should you want a more detailed response do not hesitate to send me a pm or give me a call.

I took the dash out of the Barracuda a few years ago. Parts labeled; tons of pictures taken etc... The small parts laid on the bed in the spare room, the dash core laid on the kitchen island, and the bucket seats and back seat on the living room floor for three months. Yes, she is a saint never a complaint or asking when it was going to be gone.

I am reading along as well. I don't have a handgun and should have one for personal protection. I could have gotten one when I was on the tool truck. At any given time I had thousands of dollars in cash and checks.
