Stop in for a cup of coffee

Cruised into a neighboring town and met up with some folks to cruise town and checkout the Christmas decorations. About an hour long cruise then meet up for some pizza. Some cool cars, wish I would have gotten some more pics. Stole these from a fellow cruiser.

My Son did the same with his truck anti-freeze in the oil , he thought he caught it earl enough. Changed the head gasket and the oil, week later good bye bearing. It wasn't a cummins so hope you have better luck .
Thanks. I just drained the oil. No metal on the magnetic drain plug and no glitter in the oil. Surprised to find zero coolant either. Only had 2.5 quarts in the thing, holds 12 plus 1 for filter. Radiator is full of empty nut has that mustard paste in it and the overflow. No signs of external leakage, so it had to blow between the cylinders some where. Maybe two different failure points. Just doesn’t make sense to not find coolant in the oil but yet have both be pretty much empty.

and no "pee" spots on the ground? Hmmmm....

@dukeboy_318 Chris I don’t know if it’s an issue with the Cummins but I had a power stroke with cracked injector cups causing fuel in the coolant. Made a real mess of my cooling system. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Hmmm interesting. I’m gonna go out and sniff the radiator, surely that would be detectable

So question… I’m not gonna be able to pull this engine until at least March. Is there anything I can do to prevent the inside from rusting with this gasket being blown
Get some storage oil, spray it into intake with engine cranking.marine dealers sell it.

That I believe, it white smoked big time this morning on start up. Didn’t even think about it. Well guess we’re gonna find out just how tough the legendary Cummins block is
Can't remember the number, but I've heard of only one weak block. 230 comes to mind but not sure.

Ya, so leaving bags of pellets in tractor bucket in warm shop overnight was in fact stupid. Wrecked 2 bags of pellets.moisture causes pellets to fall apart.

Aparrently 55” tv isnt big enough. Kim ordered a 65”. Said its not much bigger. Its massive by comparison. Dont need it. Some kinda schmart tv…

That was the “53” casting series, early 98.5-99. Mines the reinforced 56 series. With the double ribbing and thicker walls
