Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Evening All! Slept like crap last night so no morning drive-by. Lots of projects going on here from aloe eating puppies to porches to bathrooms and holly fenders. Karl I hope you get fixed up there, gotta be tired of shortness of breath, kinda important!

RIP Jeff Beck. I got to see him once, love everything he does, so talented. Will be jamming Yardbirds and solo work this weekend for sure!

At breakfast now and coffee at Cafe Lan. Got to get home and keep an eye on the construction workers.

Dang, my wife still isn't home from work yet.

At least one thread went 'poof' and disappeared this afternoon?

Other than Hysteric calling people peabrains or such, seemed like it was settling down.
I still want to see some testing with the factory single planes....

I might take the time to clean it up and put it back up. Or not.

Well, as most of you know there can be some very interesting things going on in Vietnam most of the time. I have known about the banking here for years now but I have never before seen in person this happen. Used to be years ago that they dealt in actual gold coins or gold bullion doing business for land or buildings or something expensive. Now they do it in cash. And I do mean cash. Banking here is anything but what you would see in America. It's a love-hate relationship with the banks. If you borrow money from the bank here you are paying about 20% interest. If you deposit money in the bank here on the upside you will get 11% return on your money each month.. we sold a piece of land to a guy last week and he sent a 3 billion Dong deposit through his bank which is Sacom Bank. We had to go there and get the cash in hand to take to our bank which is a different bank. Agribank is the name of my bank here. My friends that I party with here all the time run that bank that I deal with.

So, we go to the Sacom Bank to get the money. I sit there and watch about 12 stacks of money 6 in high each. Most of them are $500,000 dong each. They stuff them into a blue plastic shopping bag that says Sacom Bank on it, and that's that. On the upside, they do have armed guards at that bank. And one of the guys came in and escorted us out with the cash to the car. But that was it, see you later. Lol. Try doing anything like this in America???. Lol. Here's a pic of the cash in the bag and the bag itself. Couldn't help myself but take a pic of $3 billion dong Vietnamese money.

But of course that's not the end of the story. We had to go to our bank to deposit the cash. They do not have armed guards at our bank. LOL....So then I sit and watch their teller run each bill through the counting machine to be sure it is all there. A lot of bills to be sure. Chin signed all the paperwork at both banks and we headed home. But they called her because she forgot to sign one document. So we had to go back. I sat out in the car for about 20 minutes waiting for her when she told me would only be about 5 minutes. Well I had to piss. I know the guards there so I went down in the garage below and used their bathroom down there. Well while I'm there I meet one of the other guys that I party with all the time that work at that bank and I sit down with him. Next thing I notice four more guys sitting including the director of that branch. And we sat and drank beer and smoke cigars for an hour and a half in the parking garage of the bank. Where can you do that in America???

Morning Mopar people.
A touch of snow here overnight and cold a couple days. Back up in the 50's Saturday.
Winters like this come once every 10 years or so. Still early but it's been a mild one so far.

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well. Headache day today, hopefully get it under control shortly. Need to make some calls about student loan stuff for my boy a little later. Need to think clearly for that. He needs more money.
