Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yup. I've only got 2 on Ignore and neither of them bring any value to the site. Puzzling
Amazingly i don't have anyone on ignore... i also try to be on my best behavior here... i have bad mental filters and have to work to hold back what's going on in my broken brain :)

It is kind of odd how different the A and B body forums are... B-body one feels like it's 99% for restoration stuff although the race guys are a pretty serious
Another way different culture is the AACA guys mostly pre 40's cars. Pebble beach types.

That's a world i never wanna be in, i really like some of those cars but i can't imagine being like "I need a opera light socket for a 1936 streamline deluxe (made up cause i don't know **** before like 55) And someone replying, i have one in OK condition... that will be $2k :)

Amazing who I deal with 100 point hemi guys to 18 Year old slant guys. Just never know who when that phone rings.

Which do you prefer honestly though... the guy that's "I just want it to run good" or "I want it to work and be made on the third thursday in march or it's useless"? :)

I don't mind the crazy or if someone has a position they want to posit but it's the ones that the ONLY thing they do is crap on everyone else but never seem to have an original thought.

Whatever dude...I'm a rookie but dang, do your research before you flame people needlessly and from a position of ignorance.

Each has it pourpus. The 100 point can be challenging to find the right parts in the right coatings for 2nd week of feb 1963

I started at the E body site with my Cuda but learned very early on that I was not Ever going to fit in due to fiberglass parts roll bar, toggle switch dash etc etc. They shredded me early and often for my car. That is what drove me to FABO. I figured out most of the tech type stuff I was interested in spanned multiple body styles. And this site is a wealth of guys that do their own work and live and let live. Been here ever since.

Then the internet warriors, love to mess with them on ignition. But I read..........

It seems FBBO there is alot of knowledge on also and some share it. I limit my knowledge after getting burned by a member that is a poser for sure.

I miss my challenger soo much :( You guys ever just get tired of a car and just unload it to get rid of it? Happened to me....

One constant on all the sites is Manifold vacuum vs Ported vac for the advances. That gets heated at times.

I started at Ford motor Co. in 1970 . Had 2 of my friends enlist , Their parents were American . They were 18 and I was 16 . Glad I was to young to enlist . Two years later I started at Ford. Spent 36 years with Ford's , mostly owned Chrysler because my father was a Chrysler worker .

Yeah, I was only 17 years old in 1974, so I was too young. But I did have to register for the draft before they abolished it I think in 75 or '76. But my father served in Vietnam between 1968 and 1969 in Nha Trang as a radio operator on C-130 special aircraft for recovery of down pilots

To a degree, my wife made a very astute observation that ultimately it is the build that excites me. It takes me 5-7 years to get one done. Once I am done I drive the heck out of it for a few years then it is on to the next build. I got a nice little 360 sitting in the shop that I am looking for a wrapper on! Thinking about a 1960ish Jeep!
