Stop in for a cup of coffee

I think they’re still in business, seen some presto light stuff in what looked like new boxes at the local Advanced Auto the other day.
Hey Chris.
Hard to know if the brand name represents one or any current manufacturer.
Prest-o-lite was or maybe is a well known brand of air-acetylene and oxy-acetylene torches and related supplies. In fact I think they may have made the designs for some of the tank standards. Some places call the high collar tanks Pestolite.

Just about bulletproof and if it does fail, every store in the world likely has one.
It's good they are 12v input but I was wondering if it had variable dwell or anything fancy like that. Do the GM modules have a rpm limit?

True true

They have one fancy trick, dying on you while driving on the interstate in the middle of no where… ask me how I know

Yes. Some will have adaptive dwell. So many varients, keep away from the ACCELL ones a friend races them and goes through 3 or four a season. Gave him a stock delco and has been using it two years.

And everybody I knew that had a GM with those early electronics carried a spare in the car with them
Used to see the modules fail, and on some occasions the wires going into the module would end up cracking from years of vibration which was fun to figure out :)

I have never failed one in all the GM years, then used one on the Demon for 3 years also, that was ACCEL though. It is nice to have 12v and every parts store carries them. Biggest issue is the heat soak paste. Need to use it or it will burn out.

I am speaking of the pic Hoppy posted. The module for the HEI distributors.

All my co-workers thought I was crazy when I built a BBQ pit for our production manager as a retirement gift. Except for the frame work it was all built from surplus parts from

 He loved it.

The first video was at the MCACN show. I was there. Sad to see it, interesting story, and great it will be saved. It does show how strong the wind and support system was.

Yes it does...I read that they are targeting having it all completed by MACN 2024.... Can't begin to think what the price tag is

Our Atmospheric River has subsided here. Rained for 12 hours straight yesterday. The thing I find the most amusing about it, the temperature, it was 57-54° for 36 hours :wtf: . It showered a little bit early this morning, soon as the rain stopped temp dropped 10°. Weird

That's what happens just before the state floats out to sea

Cold front came through.

Did you see the video series on the restoration of that wing car that guy trashed in the hurricane? Just saw it pop up... guess they just finished dipping the body
I’m glad they dipped them, saltwater would kill those things.
