Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning, Tim!

I got food poisoning from the dinner the evening before a flight across the Atlantic. Not very serious but I got up very carefully from my seat the whole way home.

Luckily we had the seats right next to the restrooms AND emergency exit so it was an easy and short commute to the lavatory ...

I've had alcohol poisoning a few times... and it usually brought up the food I had eaten.. kinda the same thing - no?

how do you know it was alcohol poisoning? maybe the pretzel you ate brought up all the alcohol...:D
huh - never thought of it that way... maybe the mistake was actually thinking food was a good idea... - have you ever puked up those GDed Combo things!? ugh! LOL

Crayfish parties are a tradition in mid August. Eaten cold, cooked with lots of dill. With a lot of singing and A LOT of akvavit.

Often you hear people saying stuff like "It's that damn dill..." the day(s) after.

Food poisoning really is the worst.:(

Never had it, lucky I guess. Been so sick a few times, I'd hate to think there's something worse.

Great news, my "little" sister is stopping to see me, on her way to see our Dad. No one "gets you" more than a close sibling. I love the peace and quiet of living alone out here but it's nice to have someone around sometimes! Sunday in Charleston they block of the streets to traffic, galleries are all open and musicians of all ages perform on the street corners.

LOL - I've been "sick" enough that I wished I were dead... then the hangover wore off... :D... I too shutter to think there is worse... So true about siblings - hardly see my sister but 5 or 6 times a year (which is so wrong considering how close we live to each other) but when we do, smooooth sailing no matter what is going on with the family..
So Sundays are so peace and quiet then...?

Sundays and Mondays the restaurant is (almost) always closed...after Saturday night's madness, you just want to recuperate and be quiet and not deal with people. Going downtown on Sundays is fun once in a while. People showing off their dogs as status symbols, and restaurants put tables out on the street. I'm not keen on crowds or having brunch right next to the gutter. The best thing to me is the music, especially when young kids aren't shy about getting out there and playing their instruments.
