Good thing I have a "collection" to get me through a shortage!Good thing the bourbon I drink was made at least 4 years ago.. There will be a shortage in a few years though. Remember when the distilleries made hand sanitizer a couple years back?

Collection is an understatement I think. LOLGood thing I have a "collection" to get me through a shortage!
I just went to the local adult beverage dispensary a little while ago and they had numerous varieties of Buffalo Trace on display. Can't say I have ever seen that in this part of the world before.Good thing I have a "collection" to get me through a shortage!

They still were distilling thousands of gallons a day while they remodeled. (doubling their capacity). BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY’S $1.2 Billion Production Expansion Update: It’s in High Gear | The Bourbon ReviewWeren't they in the midst of some big project at the distillery that limited their distribution? Am I remembering that right?
@toolmanmike ?
That mildew on the buildings is a byproduct of the distilling process. It's like "black mold" that may build up in your bathroom because of the humidity. It's everywhere there is distilling and the article you saw was right in town. It isn't so noticeable or an issue if the distillery is a distance away from other businesses or homes. They will get it under control. I haven't heard about the tax thing but the distilleries pay tax on every ounce of distilled spirits they produce. The unfair thing is that as the barrels mature, some of the liquid evaporates but they still pay the entry tax on 53 gallons. There might only be 20-30 gallons left after 5-10 yearsI've seen a couple different news articles involving distilleries lately. One involving a toxic vapor that escapes the stills and condenses on the neighboring surroundings which may cause health issues. Another about the state of Kentucky removing the property taxes that were charged to the distilleries for the product aging in barrels on the property .

No!!!!!!!!! Distillery fungus also known as Whiskey fungus, Rum fungus, and Warehouse Staining fungus is a black fungus known as Baudoinia compniacensis. While it is black in color, this is not Stachybotrys, often referred to as black mold.Methanol
I’m sure you’re right. But I read vapor and took a guess.No!!!!!!!!! Distillery fungus also known as Whiskey fungus, Rum fungus, and Warehouse Staining fungus is a black fungus known as Baudoinia compniacensis. While it is black in color, this is not Stachybotrys, often referred to as black mold.

What I read is it feeds on the high concentrations of ethanol in the air.No!!!!!!!!! That could be. Ethanol is whiskey. LOLWhat I read is it feeds on the high concentrations of ethanol in the air.
I use the premix 2 cycle fuel also. My leaf blower is an intermittent use device so fuel is an issue.Yep. I wish you were closer. I have a couple small engine shops on my old route that could help you out. I dropped off my old Mantis mini tiller in the middle of snow blower season and said whenever you get it done. I got a call a few weeks ago. It was done. Yep, a new carb, plug and some hoses. $100 later but it was junk before and it was given to me. He sold me some of that 2 cycle gas too. It's supposed to help with the carb issues.
