Stop in for a cup of coffee

thinking-face.png Wonder if I could get the granbrats to accept that as a station wagon. They want me to get a hot rod wagon

There was a '63 A Body wagon up the beach not long ago on CL. It's description made it sound like there was barely enough steel left to hold the roof on.

I like that one too. That mint green is a cool color. Just remember how hard 62 parts are to come by. Especially wagon parts. :poke:
That's why i'm gonna buy all the 62's i can..... i will have a backyard full of parts to keep 1 running! :)

Aww man, that is heartbreaking. Keeping a Shepard pup alive for the first two years is very difficult, between their keen intelligence and limitless curiosity coupled with agility and speed there is just no end to the trouble they can get into. And I do mean they get into some situations you just shake your head at. Hemi has the scars to prove it, we about lost her twice to her own enthusiasm and athletic ability.
Sure is ! She looked a lot like your pup . Took her out for a walk for an hour and a half , got home and I let her in the house and she started running in the house , she dumped over her water dish and ran into the kitchen cupboard , so I told her to slow down, so she went into the living room and I thought she went to lay on the couch. But no she bounced off the couch and ran right into the china cabinet . I thought she knocked herself out . But my wife said she is not breathing . I called the vet , he is just down the road from me , so I got her in the car , the vet took her in and a couple minutes later he came out and said she died instantly. She broke her neck . My heart was broken . Even having a hard time typing this!!

So, while I was in Vietnam my pastor took his car to a shop locally to have an alternator put on it. I'm sure that was very expensive there. They told him he needed two front wheel bearings. I usually do all the work on my pastor's vehicle for him at a much reduced price. I test drove it with him yesterday. Sure enough it needs two front wheel bearings. But they are a total PIA to install. As you see, need to pull the spindle off the car, press the hub out, then press the bearing out and press the new one back in , and the old hub back in. Got it apart now as you can see. Time for a couple of beers. Maybe I'll finish it tomorrow. I ain't on no time clock.

Ahhh fwd, the answer to all things automotive :BangHead::lol:

Quick update.

Sent a note over to A and A Transmission yesterday. Rick gave me a call this morning and we talked for a bit. Nice guy, very knowledgeable. He's going to look for some things for me.

Short story - (@dukeboy_318 ) - it IS POSSIBLE to remove the rear pump on an early A904 Torqueflite but it requires a bunch of work and modifications - Heliarc some areas, customize valve body passages...etc. He's done it before but it was a $5K job. That is NOT what was done to mine...you can't do it with a more modern valve body swap and removal of the rear pump. Apparently there is something you can do with a 727...but it is not the same.

SO... there's that.

You'll be a transmission expert when it's all over.
