So just got home from my shooting event. I gave just under 100 safety briefings today, complete with blue gun examples for all the new shooters. Seven bays, IDPA, USPSA, two bays of Steel Challenge, Bullseye bay, and a practice bay. Nobody got shot today, nobody bled, and nobody went down from heat exhaustion! That is a win my friends! We did have some steel plate ricochets issues tho. Holy smokes I am wiped out!
 
Agree. The varnish is not really a concern. Where the lobes lift the centers are shiny. The pitting could be a concern if its into the contact area.
