Stop in for a cup of coffee

All the Minnesota snow is melting and flooding the Mississippi. Our north and central river towns have crested but the southern towns are still rising. I feel for the folks but hey, you live on or own a cabin near the Mississippi, this stuff will happen. Most of the cabins ar jacked up on stilts anyway.
Rivers here are spilling over as well and yea glad we don't live in a flood zone that's worse than all the snow I get here.

Got a similar situation in the San Joaquin Valley. That snow in the Sierras is makin' a mess in many areas. Some of them rivers over there don't escape to the ocean, they just find a low spot in the valley.
Water coming off the mountains sure can make a mess.

Fer instance Lake Isabela, up the Hill from Bakersfield in the south end of the valley. A lake brought about by the Kern River and the Army Corps of Engineers. Yesterday the water level in the lake rose 2 1/2'.

Refill those reservoirs!

I saw the local guys pulling out with the big wheeled tanks with the two heads sticking out and it was pouring. They pulled into the local convivence store and I was talking to the one young soldier and his service to our country. I said those guys driving those things are going to get wet and he said and "boy I am not driving them"
The ASV or the Striker?

We are big Star War's fans here and we are all going to the re-release of Return of the Jedi. It's the 40th anniversary of the series release.

@Sublime one ...

Hey John, I wasn't fast enough on the camera, but on the way back from the store I passed a pickup with at least 6 maybe 7 shepherds in the back... leaning out in all directions.

I almost drown in that lake, as a kid....Very dangerous.

You know, Amazon has really spoiled us with next day shipping. When you have to order from other places, you remember what shipping is like in the non Amazon world! Takes forever!!

Is El Nino related to El Chapo? :rofl:

A guy brings me this 2003 Honda Accord. Apparently he was trying to pull the wheels for whatever reason. Right front only had two lug nuts and two studs holding the wheel on. Right rear was also missing one stud and one nut. He called me about bringing it, I told him it was okay to drive it but don't drive it over 40 mph lol. The rear one was pretty simple but had to pull the rear brake drum which had been on there for eons. On the front now, was a little more of a challenge. The seat of the studs are so close to the bearing hub that they were difficult to get out. Even had to cut them all the way down. To install them, all three, I cut a small notch in the dust plate. I also ground a flat on each seat of the new studs so that they would clear the hub. Worked out perfect. I wasn't going to press the bearing out of the hub today. The hell of that. Lol
