Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning Tike. Saw an older guy riding an old Honda yesterday. The way he rode it and how it looked and sounded he was out on a "out of long storage run" keeping the idle up at stop lights listening to it. It looked cool reminded me of my younger bike days.
I love the old bikes. Harley's sound pretty much like Harleys but it seems Japanese and European bikes the sound varies. I like that

Morning!
4° and a high of 18°. Can work with shop door open again. Saw mosquitoes. Dammit.
Yesterday a friend/customer shows up with his lincoln, left tire wearing faster than the right. Bolt on power steering rack is loose. It backed out and siezed. No way to get at it. Well me being the mechanic i am,not wanting to drop the frame decided to make a wrench. I had to fight to get bolt out, cut hole in k member to repair threads. Always a battle.
I won. Once the rack was tight, i found a loose ball joint on right side. Think it could cause the left tire to wear? I guess i will fight with alignment after i replace the ball joint.

What am I measuring, the width of the pad?
Brake pads are for disc brakes and the shoes for drum. I think I was wrong and you can measure the width inside your brake drum. The brake shoe should still be close but may be a little less than the inside width of the drum

Measured the shoe front and rear,

I am totally not awake and should not be telling Scott how to measure. When he said "pad" I am thinking disc....but I think he meant the pad on the shoe. Yes yes do that. Yikes I better go get ready for work

Good Morning everyone. I hope all is well. Found a replacement bed for my truck. Shouldn't fall through this one for a while. Some dents but overall very usable for me and the right color. He is even delivering it tomorrow. Also found a replacement receiver hitch assembly. I have never seen one rust right through. Man I hate all the salt they use here. Use sand and Slow the F Down. It will be ok. Other states make it work.
