Another project. I have an extra gasket. I guess I'll see how that fits over the Holiday.
Convertible gaskets are hard to find.

Hell of a day but got the Scamp ready to head to Pittsburgh. Spending the night in Fargo at my sons and first thing in the morning heading East.

Be safe out there Fred!

Anybody see an advantage to either of these?

Would have to read the label on what kind of paint in each can but most of the time it's better to get the expensive can. Used Dupli color lots and seems to be OK but around here not much of a choice.
When it comes to painting a car body then there is lots of choices and you don't want to go cheap on it or the under coats.

Great thanks. No leaks or anything I know of, been sitting 50 years. But like you guys said no reason to change it.

Thanks Mitch on the flex line I was not aware of that.

Look for rust that might go through, or pin holes. Around the rear shock and frame rail is where my 67 went. No leak but would do odd things like go to zero pressure in the 1/4 mile. Would just make it through the lights with the fuel in the bowl. Pressure at idle was OK.
Check the pickup sock filter. Be very careful when rmoving the pickup. The original senders are a bit fragile but the only ones that read correctly.

Side note: A few, very few, big block cars got a 3/8 pick and line.

Lotsnlots of hot rods downtown already. Wide whites as far as the eyes can see. Fender skirts on anything that rolls. Air bags and hydraulics abound.

Not factory. Factory lines fit tightly and are held in with clips in all locaitons but one.

I'd be inclined to replace it if its as rusty as it looks in this photo.

Looks like two electric pumps so customization will be needed (assuming you are keeping them).
Do it really need electric pumps? They add a whole additional level of headaches. I know they are popular with some racers but...

That's a real pickup. :)
One tube is not factory. LOL.
Some did have a return line but I'm not aware of any with two pickups.

Typical arrangement is a short rubber hose connecting the fuel pickup to the fuel line.
Why was there a hose ?? I would not expect flex between the chassis and the tank but I'll trust Chrysler was smarter than me here.
If ther car is really stifferend up, maybe not needed???

As far as the socks go, I recall there are flexible ones like that and non collapsing ones
