Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah, the main thing is the roller rockers are pretty large, i would honestly prefer just stock covers painted to match the motor but i know they won't fit.. don't really want to spacer them up as that just adds a lot more area to leak
Didn't @Mopar Tim say he put spacers under his covers?

Good Morning All

Morning fellers, me and the dogs went for our walk. Now I'm on the back deck drinking some coffee. What to do what to do.

BTW.. do you guys gasket your oil pumps on small blocks? for some reason i don't recall using a gasket before on the pump... Also... i need to replace a couple of rusted core plugs.. indian head ok or is there a better sealer?

P.S. do all 318 use the same size core plugs? figure i better ask before i order...
Between the pump and block thin coat black RTV unless you want a leak you will be chasing . Ask me how I know

yeah, i was going to indian head it.. just wasn't sure on a gasket although the pump came with one.

This is a small block btw.. so between the rear cap and pump :)

Actually I'm wrong. Sorry. Nothing on pump but a thin coat between rear main cap and block. Sorry

K... i wouldn't have even thought bout sealing between the cap and block... small blocks are just weird :)

Plus went and looked at spacers and they cost more than most valve cover sets... i know you rich people don't worry bout money but i do :)
I used studs and sealed spacer to heads with black rtv. Then used gaskets on top. No leaks at all

There is a oil gallery going thru the cap. High pressure. If not precisely machined it can leak and you will play hell finding it. It happened to me...

Well, luckily i'm not in a rush, gonna try to find a set of M/Ts or something that will work without spacers first.. the spacers i saw were like $230 a pair which is a bit much for me right now for that kinda part

So, yesterday my son called me was stuck at Walmart with his Mitsubishi Montero sport V6. Went over there to start it with the jump box and a tester to test the battery. To no avail. Believe it was a starter. He gets a buddy of his with trailer at over to my house at around 1:30 p.m. get it on the lift and look at it. Omg !!!!! Don't know how we're going to get it out of there. Four hours later, got the starter on it. Had remove the four-wheel drive actuating assemblies off of the front axle in order to get it out. And then it's so tight where you can't get to it, it was hard to get it to bolt back up. What a PIA. All pops labor for free. I guess he'll pay for the starter though.

So, while driving Dart in real world conditions, found the Interior Drone to be excessive at 2K Rpm, right at my cruise Rpm. So, changing mufflers from flowmaster series 40 to series 50. Both delta flow. Hope it does not tame it down to much....BUT Simone will be riding in car for hundreds of miles so it has to be bearable, which it is not now....
