Just checking in quick...

I'm still above ground...

Heavy storms Wed night knocked out my internet for a couple days, I'm back on now...

Someone makes factory harnesses for them? My original harness is still pliable and not hard at all but still makes me worry, thinking bout adding some big fuses in places so it will be less.... firey...
M&H harness got mine through Year One. Usually someone will post a coupon for Year One.
Perfect original look got the trunk and engine harness simple on and off.

I worked with a guy who claimed to be a Ramcharger and raced one of those 241 Hemis in a rail...

He set the record for the longest ET for the quarter mile in his class and that episode caused NHRA to change the rules... So his record will never be broken...

Here's the story:

He was at the drag strip and his brother and brother's friend were there... He needed to walk away from his car for a little bit and asked his brother and friend to watch his car... When he got back his brother and friend were not there... When his race came up, he started the car and went to the starting line... His opponent had an issue with his car at the last minute and couldn't make the race, so Pat had to make the run alone as a single to qualify for the next round.... The rule back then is that the car and the driver had to cross the finish line at the end of the quarter mile to qualify...

So he's at the starting line and the christmas tree lights go down and he takes off... The car stalled as someone loosened the distributor hold down bolt when the car was left unattended... This caused the distrubutor to turn and loose timing when under load when he took off... (He didn't do any burnouts since it was a solo run...) Pat then gets out of his car and pushes it all the way down the drag strip by himself... (He actually had a video tape of it and loaned it to me to watch...) He really did it, as he was very short, (I don't think he was 5 foot tall - he was so short...) It was him in the video as the guy pushing the dragster down the strip was very short also...

Since it took so long for him to push the car down the strip by himself, the officials then changed the rules to the driver automatically goes on to the next round if the opponent is unable to race...

I may have them. Assuming what’s on my spare 1970 440 are original and correct

Can you post some pictures of them from all different angles so I can see the brackets and all attachments etc when you get some time???

I would appreciate it...

Yep. Was a hemi in a 300 at local yard a few years ago. Facia/radiator was destroyed.

Back in my younger days, there was a junk yard near me that had an old DeSoto with a Hemi in it... It was there for a long time and nobody took the engine...

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The city of Chicago and southeast Cook County was under a Flash Flood warning until 10 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service announced.

It's the second wave of major rainfall that has hit the region this week. Sunday, up to 8 inches fell in some areas, causing flash flooding and forcing the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago to release stormwater and sewage into Lake Michigan.

Flash Flood Warning for much of the Chicago area

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Many communities in the Chicago area are still recovering from last night’s powerful storms that blew through.

ComEd says fewer than 2,000 homes and businesses remain without electricity.

At the height of the outages, around 16,000 homes and businesses were without electricity in the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana. Strong winds not only knocked out power but blew over trees, including the big one that was ripped from its roots and fell over onto Bill Kocinski’s house on 111th and Ewing in the East Side neighborhood.

He told CBS-2 he felt the crash.

“I was inside working and then the storm was coming through and then there was a big clap of thunder and then the house shook,”

Not too far away, on 101st and Torrence in South Deering, the street was blocked for a while because of a tree that had fallen onto it.

Rain from last night’s storms also caused flooded streets in the Chicago area.

My buddy Doug lost a large pine tree next to his house...

Hey guys, one of my college buddies from New York has come across another Mopar guy local to him with some parts for sale...

He was asking me what this intake is, and we think it's a factory 318 poly dual quad intake....

Is anyone looking for one of these, I think he can get a hold of it if someone needs it, let me know...

That sure looks like a dual quad Poly intake. WCFB's have that small narrow bolt pattern.

A bit of work to clean up a tree that size, looks like it missed the house and car so that's good.
