Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well here is daughter update. Tuff day in rehab yesterday but just great progress. She is at an inpatient rehab clinic for stroke and blood clot (aneurisms) patients. It is very specific and focused. It is amazing, she literally gets one hour off for lunch then right back to serious PT. Six hard core hours a day. She can barely hold her head up when she is done she is exhausted. She is walking around the gym with no assistance and now also pushing a sled. She has regained full mobility of arm and hand but is very weak. She can speak and think at just almost normal pace. Her team is meeting on Monday to decide when to kick her out. Woo Hoo! Being so young and fit has really helped her. She was/is a yoga fiend and eats very healthy non drink non smoker. The thing that is really spooky to me is when I was mid thirties I literally did not know a single person my age that had experienced a stroke, that was reserved for the sixty plus crowd. At the rehab center it is easily 3:1 or maybe 4:1 - 35 and under patients vs older patients. It is super weird. The gym is filled with young people and very few older? What has changed physically in our society to create such a reversal of victims? It freaked me out. Again sincere thanks to all y’all for the prayers and PMs of support. From life flighting her fighting for her life two weeks ago to yesterday has been a roller coaster of emotions for our entire family.

That's great news. Not the same injury but I asked my heart surgeon why all the heart related issues. (you will know the answer because of your past employer) Too much sodium in the diet.

That's strange how the stroke victim age has shifted. Stress??

Salt is an absolute killer! What TMM is referring to is myself and a couple of (smarter) guys created a Company and a process that we patented both domestically and internationally to manufacture a salt substitute based on potassium which the body actually needs. It did well enough I was able to retire early and hang out with you ruffians. So technically I am not just another pretty face! Hah!

LMAO, just like this thread a congratulation hand shake for bad taste! Gene Wilder was the best, well besides Bette Midler!
NO ONE TOUCHES MY BLUE BLANKY!!!
******* song is stuck in my head now...

BTW guys... when putting the LCA pin through the k-frame do you grease, anti-seize or go raw?

No worries I knew what you meant and thought it was quite witty. But we share a dark demented sense of humor!
Seriously though with all those younger people having strokes there must be a common denominator?? I'm not political at all but the vaccine jumps out at me tested for three months or so and then given to millions. Makes you wonder?? I'm going to ask my doctor daughter and see what she knows or has seen. So glad to hear she's continuing to make positive progress.
