Stop in for a cup of coffee

Seriously though with all those younger people having strokes there must be a common denominator?? I'm not political at all but the vaccine jumps out at me tested for three months or so and then given to millions. Makes you wonder?? I'm going to ask my doctor daughter and see what she knows or has seen. So glad to hear she's continuing to make positive progress.
Young people have WAY WAY more stress than any generation before them (people 40 and under).. they eat WAY worse food than any generation before them... and exercise less than any generation before them.... Jumping to the vaccine makes no sense at all.

I usually shove it in.
gonna get my knuckles and all that installed today... think i'll leave the centerlink/tie rod ends til the motor is in so i don't fight with headers around it.... I probably should have gotten a newer k-frame but too late now

I seriously cut down on it. Definately dont add any, bacon has enough.......
I never paid much attention. I told the surgeon that a container of salt lasts me a year I rarely add salt to anything. He said (and cardiac rehab said the same) pay attention to all the foods you eat. Boxed and canned foods are the worst.

I'm a salt and mustard junkie... i don't add tons but i use a lot of hotsauce which has a lot of salt normally... and eat foods that tend to lean into salt a lot..

Just a for instance, Here's a McDonalds Cheeseburger. 30% of your daily allowance.

We've all grown up with stress so not sure how they have way more stress than us. John's daughter was a healthy person so wasn't diet and exercise. My vaccine comment was merely a thought for discussion and nothing more.

Yes.. and we are discussing it... wasn't an attack...
Ok.. so you are 25 and thinking you want a house... WTF a starter home is 300k in most decent cities now unless you want a 800ft shack.. it is utterly insane... most jobs still want to pay what i made in the 90s which you can't live on. So you get the fun option of working 2+ jobs if you just want to get by, then still try to have a life.. Add healthcare onto that and you are officially fucked.

Some people complain about young people not having kids... i wonder why. :) I'm glad i am slightly older.. **** was much easier.. i have no idea how people are supposed to get by now.

I been eating soo much sugar and carbs it was stupid.. had ballooned back to 190# which is way too much. And started showing signs of going back into diabetes... Not dealing with that again. So.. back to eating proper and no snacking, will be nice to get back to 170ish though

Well here is daughter update. Tuff day in rehab yesterday but just great progress. She is at an inpatient rehab clinic for stroke and blood clot (aneurisms) patients. It is very specific and focused. It is amazing, she literally gets one hour off for lunch then right back to serious PT. Six hard core hours a day. She can barely hold her head up when she is done she is exhausted. She is walking around the gym with no assistance and now also pushing a sled. She has regained full mobility of arm and hand but is very weak. She can speak and think at just almost normal pace. Her team is meeting on Monday to decide when to kick her out. Woo Hoo! Being so young and fit has really helped her. She was/is a yoga fiend and eats very healthy non drink non smoker. The thing that is really spooky to me is when I was mid thirties I literally did not know a single person my age that had experienced a stroke, that was reserved for the sixty plus crowd. At the rehab center it is easily 3:1 or maybe 4:1 - 35 and under patients vs older patients. It is super weird. The gym is filled with young people and very few older? What has changed physically in our society to create such a reversal of victims? It freaked me out. Again sincere thanks to all y’all for the prayers and PMs of support. From life flighting her fighting for her life two weeks ago to yesterday has been a roller coaster of emotions for our entire family.
Prayers still going your way.

One thing I will say, the national guard here has had a spike in strokes for folks between 24-43. No idea and probably not related but noteworthy nevertheless

I understand I worked two jobs for 30 years plus. I also worked overtime had court time in the middle of my night and raised three kids and divorced twice. I bought a couple houses but always bought what I could afford. I use to drive used cars for 10 plus years or more each.

I get what you're saying I feel most just want it all now and live month to month with a huge credit card balance and high expectations of what they are owed and with social media may be stressful to them but that is the lifestyle they choose. As we know it takes hard work and you don't see many who want to do that today...JMO.

And I am about at 240# I need to get bak down to below 200 for sure. THe heavier you are the less you want to exercise. I spend too much time here. I need to drive myself to at least go for a walk every day. More steps is more calories.

I have worked 65-70 hours a week since 18, i was a factory rat... it's not credit cards... houses cost 7-10x as much and wages haven't even doubled.. Our parents raised kids, owned a house and a car on 1 persons income just doing factory work.. you can barely pay rent on that now.. things are not the same.

P.S. i still work 65+ a week and actually try to keep my meals under $4 each to save money... ****'s not the same anymore :)

That's the hard part is those first few times of getting off the couch and exercising.. at my heaviest i was 250#.. i lost 60 in 4 months on keto.. but had to stop cause i got too skinny. I will say the difference from 250>185ish is amazing... oh it's 90 out.. and i'm not sweating at all and feel great, at 85 degrees i was like.. well i'll be inside all day in the AC today :)

Good morning guys. Got my boys steering stabilizer and his rear axle bearings installed yesterday. I don't have a press, so hammering the bearings on and then the retainer rings...damn that was a work out. I need to get back into shape! Fingers crossed it works and no leaks.

@Tooljunkie thanks Frank for the tip in the brakes swelling. They were gummed up and stuck very tight. Had to back them way off to remove the drums. Couple soaks with brake cleaner and heat/dry out with a MAP torch. Readjusted.

i spent yesterday hammering in my lca bushings/pins... that gets old fast.. i have a 12# sledge head on a normal size handle, works great but after a few swings it gets old quick :)

BTW.. the wage thing, not a fight or argument, just chat :) Things sometimes get taken wrong in chat... back to normal happy morning ****.

I remember the first time i saw a machine like that (although much smaller) it was like OMG.. i can see the spark and what's missing and all the things!!!! Such a good tool for diag :)

They are amazing what they show. A great tool for the home is a cylinder kill meter tells you alot of what is going on.
