Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hello SLS :welcome:back, You enjoy your time this evening :) memikie is out of here sir !! TTYL

Started out as Sunday's and holidays. Then when I retired it went to full time. Men do make the best cooks.

I despise cooking... Its just not my thing.... Im glad some of you guys are into it and sometimes I wish I could cook better.

However, I do have some of my things only I cook. I do all the grilling, I make a good chili, and a couple of other small items...

When my daughter was a teenager she would invite friends for Sunday dinner. She would always get requests for me to make something specific that I had made before.

As far as grilling. If I can get it on the grill it goes on there. Everything from French fries to Mac and cheese.

Good evening folks! Looks like I'm late to the party tonight.

I was in the garage for the last 3 hours with my speed shop guy trying to trace the mystery oil leak. We jacked it up, inspected, didn't find anything, cleaned all traces of oil we could find and then ran it, let it sit, put it down, drove it, jacked it back up again, inspected again, checked pan and timing chain cover bolt torque, and still nothing.

No source of the leak from the engine could be found and no more oil dripped out.

Best we can figure is that it was old left over oil inside the k-member from previous engine work that found it's way out after all the jacking and tilting from the disc brake and spring shackle install.

Time will tell I suppose. I just hate not having a definitive answer.

The only small success was that I got the hood latch and bumper stop alignment finally adjusted so that it's exactly even on both sides and tight on the bumpers. No more hood wobble at highway speeds!

Oil leaks are tough.

Morning guys. I saw member Herb Beer's 440 Dart (Homebrew). He plumbed his hoses low through the inner fender and ran them outside the engine compartment with braided hose back yo the firewall. Really slick setup. Guy's a heck of an engineer..

Thanks for the kind remarks.

I think this is what you are talking about..

My Cooling Improvement Project (hopefully)

Ugh! I just got an e-mail that the local car show I am planning to go to as the first one for the GTS is this Sunday instead of next Sunday. My fault for not rechecking the initial dates published back in March.

Looks like tomorrow evening and the entire day Saturday are going to be an all out effort to get the details cleaned up to be ready.

It's not a huge show, 250 cars or so, but it's the first one for the GTS and I want to show the best I can. I just thought I'd have another week to get ready...:BangHead:

Hey, I'm the reason this came up. I've been thinking of a way to get rid of the ugly black hoses running across the engine. Ben mentioned your build. It looks a heck of a lot better than stock! Bookmarked the thread.

Thanks for showing up!
