Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey guys. So, going over my credit card charges looking at what I spent on Carlisle trip. See a 230 dollar charge from geico. Hmm. I do not have geico insurance. Call credit card company. Seems this is a charge been going on since Oct last year. And several charges for apple whatever. Over 3 grand in total. Wow. Been a crazy year with Simone in hospital and I missed the charges.

Killed a few more bees with alcohol spray. Had to kill near 100 by now... Got the back end up on ramps now. Looks like they are in the frame. Probably do a shot of wasp spray in the rail when I get home tonight. Still need to check bumpers etc for wasp nests - I am only seeing those random though. so not sure if they have a nest on the car. Maybe by the weekend I can get at it to do some work.

Hey guys... on my '62 i forgot to snag the oil guage sending unit off the poly before it left.. And a few other things :( Like the linkage stud on the carb.. anyway... the 62 had a smaller unit, i just went to rock auto and they show this for 62, which i have from my '85 318... think that would work fine? not sure if they changed how they work over those 25 years...

Does your 62 have an oil pressure gauge, or a warning light ? That bell shaped sender is for gauges. The small ones are for a warning light..

Well.. that probably explains it :) and 90% sure it's an idiot light.. will order the smaller one.. always wondered what the difference was :)

Well, that step is done. I will admit its rough. Will be picking Mom up next week. In the Fargo. Mom wasnt able to get into truck, so this just seems right.

Hey, too late to say "good morning". Never too late for coffee C\_/
Just got ahold of piratejacks and they will let me RMA the brake hoses, and give a refund.. no idea how much though :( They said they only have 1 length hose and no one has ever had issues with it... Maybe i am being too picky? The hose hangs down a bit but isn't in danger of hitting anything and doesn't bind..

As seen doesn't look right to me. My memory sux these days but I think,
The OEM hoses were routed diagonally behind the shock to a caliper located at the forward 1-3 o'clock position on the rotor.
I personally prefer OEM hoses only for the short piece of metal tubing that routes the hose away from wheel and controls how it moves as the spindle turns left and right. I should go ahead and state that there is very little in the aftermarket that I do like.
Good luck shouldn't even be required when it comes to brakes. Good engineering negates the need for luck.

Yeah, a-body are in front of the rotor, b-body(which i have, i'm a spy here) are behind.. luckily you can actually flip sides.. which is what i decided to do.. my car will be tainted by a-body brakes.. but times are hard :(

All of us should study our credit card statement(s) closely. It costs nothing to place a fraud alert on one that covers all accounts. Just 1 phone call got me hooked up with all 3 of the major credit watcher companies. I even received a letter showing my FICO score that I hadn't requested.
2 or 3 weeks later I saw a box at top of Amazon page that said "Amazon Visa Credit card with 200-dollar discount on purchases. Approval in as little as 15 seconds". I thought "Why not?" So about an hour later I get a phone call from Chase, where our only credit card is, and she said, "We just want to make sure this was/is you who applied for another visa card via Amazon". I replied that it was me but was not a test of the fraud alert I recently activated. It was only for their 200 dollar gift offer. The lady told me that I would receive another Chase Visa card but I would not like its terms, 500 dollar credit limit, 25.99% interest rate, etc... She then said it would take a few days to receive that card but as soon as I can, call the number on the back and close that account. You'll keep the 200 dollar discount if already used, applied to a purchase. That's when I told her it was. 642 dollars total in parts for a RAM truck that I had in my Amazon cart at the time cost me only 442 dollars (plus tax of course).
She said I did good. I said "You did too. I know for sure the fraud alert is functioning. Have a great day".
I'm not saying a fraud alert is everything LifeLock protection is but... There is a fee to pay for LifeLock. Like I said before, the fraud alert is free.
