I have know idea what path you been on Chris.Honestly I wish I could go back in time. I’d done farming full time vs the path I e been on
Doubt its a war item.Well i officially stumped the German collector for the first time ever. No one knows
And it’s in English????The made in Germany is throwing me off...
Oil or petroleum... but Germany? Whale?
Here's an interesting one for your collector friend.Well i officially stumped the German collector for the first time ever. No one knows
He thinks it may be an early 1960s late 50s synthetic oil or chemical can. 30L equates to almost 8 gallons. And would make sense as Germany was almost all synthetic oils, chemicals and such during the later years of the warDoubt its a war item.
It was made in Germany, so that limits the years of manufucture.
Door 1.Philadelphia and the number has to do with what it was used for and by whom.
Door 2. The container contained a product made in Germany and shipped to Phialdelphia.
Export item. Sure. And it’s in English????
Happy moment Mike keep us updated.Just checking in, no more fever, little congestion to none, sore legs and tired, sleeping 16 to 18 hours a day..

Oh I just went the college degree route and regretting it.I have know idea what path you been on Chris.
Yea I hear ya. Best advice I've heard is don't regret things like that and don't fall into the trap that you must make use of your degree or whatever past experience you've have in field from this point on. I'm right there. Oddly I'm back doing that, but I'm enjoying it, just didn't expect any more opportunities.Oh I just went the college degree route and regretting it.
I know how to tell what might have been inside, open the lid lick the bottom of the jug and should come up with some kinda clue. And it’s in English????
Powder crate. Originally anyway, would have been sealed in the tin spam can. Other languages would be either Swedish or Norwegian. Here's an interesting one for your collector friend.
I no longer own it, but its neat because of there appear to be three languanges on it.

LOL.I know how to tell what might have been inside, open the lid lick the bottom of the jug and should come up with some kinda clue.
Never mind just a brain fart.
LOL.
Kid told my buddy at work that he put gasoline in the skid-steer instead of diesel.
He's not sure if he's pulling his leg but doesn't think so.
I said open the fuel cap and smell it. If there's gas in it you'll know right away. He looks at me all serious and says he's not sure he can smell the difference. Oh boy!
Ouch
So my brother, 2 weeks before his wedding. Grabs a random gas can from the farm and proceeds to pour its contents onto the smoldering brush pile. It went whoosh , resulting in second degree burns to his legs. I got blamed for it. I was like, anyone that’s ever been on this farm knows you don’t assume what’s in any container regardless of color. You gotta smell or look at it. He did neither. Thing was full of 5 gallons of gas not the kerosene he expected…
It's a box for loose powder, not fixed ammo.Powder crate. Originally anyway, would have been sealed in the tin spam can. Other languages would be either Swedish or Norwegian.

My grandchild did that and set himself on fire 4 months in the hospital with skin drafts and still going through treatment after 8 years.

Somewhere I have a few boxes of wooden bullets with the N. insignia on them.Export item. Sure.
I have wood salad bowls stamped Made in Occupied Japan
In fact I can't think of anything I have from overseas made for export that is not in English.
