Stop in for a cup of coffee

I had a nice grabber blue 302 maverick. Just one of the car I wish I had kept.

There was a really cute girl drove a baby blue 4 door Maverick with polished slots back in the day. I loved that girl!!!!

the problem with them was the engine bay was very narrow. Like our A bodys. Tough to put some big power in.

Hey guys! Dang, I'm pooped. Re-sealed the thermostat housing and snuggled up the oil pan bolts. I have a bit of a oil leak. Really the engine and tranny need to come out and be resealed but later for that. I've been doing some shinin'

Here's under the hood all ready for the show. Oh, new master cylinder cover too.

Nice TMM! I did a bunch of shinin' yesterday on my interior trim for the Biohazard. Today, I hand-bent the clips I'm missing since I couldn't find any repro's.

Dang, nice job. Ya those darned clips. I spentbucks for the original style clips for my under hood insulation just to find you have to hammer them in. I didn't want to damage the paint on every hole so I found some plastic Christmas trees at NAPA that worked well, pushed in with my fingers and no damaged paint. They were even for Mopars. LOL

Hey, I saw a couple cool Mavericks on the last page. Yep those narrow engine compartments bite (just like ours) Now days you could put a 500 horse Coyote and a C4 with a narrowed disc brake 8.8 and have a fun car.

I have a question for you. Do you have a high/low pressure switch on your factory AC?

Mine was converted for the modern Freon and a high/low pressure switch was added to the receiver drier canister but it wasn't wired up to the compressor and I'm trying to figure out if it should be and if so, how?

My instincts are to just splice it in-line to the compressor power but I'm not completely sure that's right.

Dang, I don't know for sure. The system was a dealer installed Mopar system from back in 1970 and still runs on R12.

I looked at yours closely and I don't see a pressure switch. Certainly not at the drier anyway and the compressor seems to be straight wired.

This is making me a little nuts since everything I read says you need one with the modern Freon and mine has a switch installed but not wired in.

I think there's a high pressure switch on the back of the compressor and the system uses a capillary switch to prevent evap freeze.

Damn, I'm pissed! I do all the cooking here but we were busy until 6:30 or so. I marinated some chicken breasts and grilled them, potatoes and fresh asparagus on the grill. It's just 9:00 here and I dumped the whole lot and broke the platter outside the back door. Damn! I guess they can have leftover Chinese or a bowl of cereal!

Damn! That sucks rocks!

Thanks Dad. I just changed my laptop background and my avatar here to your latest Swinger creation. That brought a smile to my face. I think I'll have a drink! lol
