Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Good Morning everyone. Raining all day today, but overall weather has warmed for the next 10 days. Maybe there is some time to get some things done outside yet. All this Carlisle talk, I need to get out there soon.
Good morning, hope the warm weather hangs in there for you, little rain never hurt me when its not a down pore, cleans the air and it drives the naybors crazy wondering what the hell is he doing out in the rain

I agree with that, haven't made it yet but next year may be the year. Becky wants to go on to Hershey then Plymouth so she can see where her grandfather x 7 landed then maybe go find some lobster?

Weird coffee this morning, Becky bought a bag of Death Wish at a Grocery Outlet since it was next to another place she was going. So not weird on the brand but it's "Blue and Buried" which is a blueberry and vanilla flavor, hmmm. Kinda covers the coffee taste, don't care for that!

That would be a fun trip. Bonneville is my #1, just don't know when it will happen.

First week in Oct is the Hershey show Just saying.

We almost went to Bonneville, son was attending Embry Riddle in AZ and they had built an electric car that they thought would be able to break the world record (for it's class). Well, due to Covid and funding they never made it to the flats, that would have been fun!

Its worth the stop just the Tuckers are awesome. Library is down the road but unless your looking for specifics you can get lost in there if they let you in the VIP area. Let me know when we will meet up.

Not sure how many days we will be at Carlilse, may not be there until last day, have to see how things lay out. I will definitely be asking for more suggestions as time nears. For now I think we are looking for lodging outside of Carlisle, perhaps in Hershey, wifey working on that.

Was OK. Found some decent places to eat too. Two were just across the highway. Pizza and itlalian food, and a chinese takeout/sit in.
Diner a little closer to Harrisburg was good. Can't recall the name but have it written down. Short drive.

So, for breakfast this morning since I'm running out of food and need to get to the grocery store. I found a container of leftover gravy, potatoes, mushrooms and celery from the last crock pot roast in the refrigerator. All the beef was gone. So I fried up some steakums and added that to it along with some rice. Something new. Never tried it before. Not bad

Fall food for sure, looks good!

Gotta get, on the plate today testing Sat phones and a box that you can make wi-fi calls on, this for some of the poor radio coverage areas on the south end of the island. Have a Great Day All!

@toolmanmike

Mike need a good name/whiskey brand recommendation with a military name?? 11/11 is almost here. Or anyone else here who has a favorite.
I didn't know about this one. "Military Special" Distilled by Barton and sold only at the PX. There's Regimental Spirits Co. The bottle is shaped like a canteen which is cool. I have never heard of the brand or know how it tastes. Horse Soldier Bourbon, Three Rangers Rye,
Let me look through my spread sheet.
Ammunition Bourbon and Rye is not bad juice. Eagle Rare is a good one. Old Scout isn't too bad. Rebel is nice for the price. Rossville Union. I see a few distilleries that are owned by Vets. They may be hard to find but that depends on where you are at.
