Stop in for a cup of coffee

This is the kind of snow we hated as kids. Powder... can't make a snow fort or snowballs
We got just a dusting of powder last night. Just enough to make it slippery and not enough to send out the city plows. I might try the leaf blower on the front steps. It will save shoveling. Not enough to run the snow blower.

The snow here is wet..Makes good snowballs. Waiting for the Girls to come down now.. Hehehe

Ok that right there was funny! And sadly a reflection of our society summed up! Makes me want to go drink out of a garden hose and build some bike ramps!
As teenagers we had an old SAAB we cut the body off and built a roll cage on it and took it out in the field and built a dirt slope and would roll it over and try to make it land back on it's wheels. That was fun.

I do remember test driving the racing Baja Bug one time on a trail I was familiar with and getting a little outa shape. If it weren't for the window nets, I probly coulda reached out the driver side window and touched the ground as it sped by

The good old days.

I am getting the run around from State Farm right now...

One of their insured rear ended me on Dec 9th and they are stalling saying that his 'possibly' insurance lapsed... They are trying to say that it expired on Dec 7th, he hit me on the night olf Dec 9th, and he paid it on Dec 10th... "But they are doing an investigation to see if he was insured"... :wtf:

How long does it take to look up on the computer and see when it expired and when it was paid??? :wtf:
Karl I spoke to my wife Becky who's an Allstate Insurance agent. While not sure what the state laws are in Il. she did mention what kind of things they would be looking at in their "investigation" to see if he was insured. Most insurance has a grace period (Allstates in WA is 10 days). They will look to see if it was "terminated" or in a "cancel status" etc. One thing she did mention is that you could file under uninsured motorist on your own coverage (if you have that), although you will likely be paying your deductible for that. Good luck and there are a lot of variables that change by state.

There is a vicious rumor floating around our town that as part of the current utility upgrade we may have to put in a traffic signal. Arghh (our first one)
None here yet, small town just west of here has one, old timers are not happy. A lot of the old timers out here refuse to stop at stop signs on the dirt roads out here.
