:rofl::rofl:

Mitch is back. Took the girls to work. Only the side roads here are sketchy. I did treat them to a mini snowman and some snowballs when they came outside this morning. Pic of my daughter and I. Now going to go scrape a little bit of this snow off and throw down some salt.

How are they doing with the cold and snow? 9deg here this morning, both of my outside hydrants are frozen. Put some heat tape and foam insulation on the one by the hose water tank.

It's just an anomaly to them. First ever for them to experience Snow. Lots of Pics and Videos.......

Thank You for your public service. (Not letting them drive)
I did let the Daughter drive home last night in the dark... She does have her learners permit and can be behind the wheel with an adult licensed driver. Has a log book she has to enter her hours in...Needs 60 hrs total....

WOuld love to see you again but I understand. Carlisle is a long *** trip for me. I can't imagine driving from the west coast.

Good for her, was wondering how she did, been off the site more than on lately for sure. Hopefully the weather cooperates and she gets her hours logged

Yeah, There aint enough time for her to log all the hours and go to drivers Ed before I leave. I'm just going to get her a weeks experience and let her go ahead and drive my Caddy while Im gone. She will only drive 5 miles to work and back each day. She'll be okay, she has driven in VN for years with no license. .LOL. My Wife Chin will wait until we get back in May to finish getting her's here.

Karl I spoke to my wife Becky who's an Allstate Insurance agent. While not sure what the state laws are in Il. she did mention what kind of things they would be looking at in their "investigation" to see if he was insured. Most insurance has a grace period (Allstates in WA is 10 days). They will look to see if it was "terminated" or in a "cancel status" etc. One thing she did mention is that you could file under uninsured motorist on your own coverage (if you have that), although you will likely be paying your deductible for that. Good luck and there are a lot of variables that change by state.

Thanks...

My brother was an adjuster for Allstate in IL for 12 years and now lives in AZ...

He pretty much told me the same thing... I'm trying to find out for sure if they are denying covering it before getting my insurance involved...

There's a joke for 'taking one on the chin' here, but I can't quite put the words together correctly...

Getting your insurance to talk to theirs might yield better results but hopefully doesn't have to come to that. How much damage to your rig?

The Teslas were in the news up here, bunch of people at charging stations who couldn't go anywhere because their vehicles wouldn't charge or go so one guy chose to have his towed, PERFECT!!! Tesla said "you must pre-condition your battery before charging in cold weather", but were unavailable for comment to news reporters.

They reported here a few days ago how the EV's are having trouble charging in this cold weather....

One guy said that it usually takes 45 minutes to fully charge his up, but in this cold it's taking 5 hours....

Then some of the charging stations are not working...

The severe cold is preventing the batteries from charging all the way...

Then today they report that Ford is reducing their production of the electric F-150 due to low sales...

Toyota is now developing a new gas engine for future production...

So tell me how EV's are going to be the future...

Minor, mostly cosmetic on the rear bumper, but I have also noticed that it bent my exhaust pipes... I just had a new hanger installed in September and it looks like one of the pipes is hanging low and a hanger may be broken and the pipes are not centered in the cutouts of the rear bumper now...

I had to go to the chiropractor to get an adjustment and should get one more...

My brother tells me that to repaint the rear bumper will cost $500 for removal, paint and materials, and reinstall...

He knows what he's doing, he worked in body shops for 12 years, worked at a paint manufacturer as a color matcher for many years, and also been an adjuster for 12 years... He has estimated damages on some of my other cars when they were in accidents better from just a picture than some of the adjusters that came out to look in person...

He currently is with Allstate and overseas about 25 body shops and helps them keep their ratings up so they can stay on the list of approved repair shops...

Good morning everyone. Slept terrible last night. Finally fell back to sleep about 5 am. Luckily I am working from home today. Get better Karl and try to take it easy (or hard if you like it that way. I don’t judge).

I didn't sleep good last night either... I made some mistakes... :BangHead:
