Kind of expensive, I think.
Yeah.. It's silly. But when I start to whine about the price of A-body stuff, I go look at B-body stuff and feel better.

True. I have a straight short one but not in real good shape if you need it. Was off my 340.Yeah.. It's silly. But when I start to whine about the price of A-body stuff, I go look at B-body stuff and feel better.
Thanks Fred... I have straight, short now... But all the non-AC hoses have a slanted angle to them... as if the housing should be forward leaning, not straight up.True. I have a straight short one but not in real good shape if you need it. Was off my 340.
That would be the best idea. Thanks Fred... I have straight, short now... But all the non-AC hoses have a slanted angle to them... as if the housing should be forward leaning, not straight up.
Need to do the Mitch and Mike and just jump over the counter at the Parts store and tell Junior to chill while I root through the hose bin
The one Mike has is the one RockAuto said was correct... (LOUD BUZZER SOUND) ... No.That would be the best idea.
If this one works for you I can grab one tomorrow probably and mail it to you.The one Mike has is the one RockAuto said was correct... (LOUD BUZZER SOUND) ... No.
SO then I just wandered to find one that Kinda-sorta looked ok... That sucked as well.
The radiator inlet and thermostat housing are essentially in line with each other. If this one works for you I can grab one tomorrow probably and mail it to you.

@WV64SignetI think I need a different thermostat housing...one that tilts direct forward, not the side or straight up.
Haven't been on here in days I am sure I missed a ton. I hope everyone is well..........................
We got home this morning. We left at 0800 Sunday morning and ended up driving all night, we pulled in at 1000 this morning (Monday). I drove until 0200 this morning and finally had to pull over in a rest area, get a power nap, and then motor on. It was a long haul, but so worth it.
Attending the first car show and meeting so many great people was awesome. A ton of them are members of this site.
Thanks Chris, for the most part. Indiana roads were terrible.................Glad you're safely home Scott. That's a haul. Good highway most of the way though as I recall
Ohio turnpike is nice...Thanks Chris, for the most part. Indiana roads were terrible.................
I knew Indy roads were bad but I didn't remember how bad.............throwing the trailer all over the place.Ohio turnpike is nice...
WTF Dukey??!!
That is the one on my 66...I gor my hose today. It looks right for the early 273 cars. It's for A/C but everyone uses this one. It's a lot more correct than the one that's on there now.

Engine is in... figuring out throttle/gas pedal. There was an "engineered" system in there that I removed and now figuring out a correct oneI knew Indy roads were bad but I didn't remember how bad.............throwing the trailer all over the place.
How is the engine build going?
I had a few engineered items to work around....................Engine is in... figuring out throttle/gas pedal. There was an "engineered" system in there that I removed and now figuring out a correct one
That is the one on my 66...
It doesn't look ideal...................are you going to run it with that and see how it is?It folds because it needs to be a.90° L- shape
It was the "recommended" non-AC one from RA.

I figure I can still charge the system with the less the ideal hose up top. May get one of those flex hoses as an interim... easy swap before it goes on the roadIt doesn't look ideal...................are you going to run it with that and see how it is?
PirateJack shipped the master cylinder today. Freaking FedEx... I'll have to scan the shrubs and neighbors yards and porches. I never know where they're going to ditch one of my packages
Mine is straight up. View attachment 1716257856
