Stop in for a cup of coffee

Dallas area is cool to visit, but I just couldn't live there. There is such a thing as too big of a city. Driving the interstate from the east side of Dallas to the west side of Ft. Worth (the metroplex, they call it) is about 70 miles.. And it can be bumper to bumper for 50+ of those miles...
Sound like DC. Won't go there ...

Not sure if it's everywhere in the world or just local to me but Burgers at Sonic are half off all day today, so you know what I am fixin to have for dinner.

if you have a Sonic and the same deal local to you, here is the heads up :)

What good is half a burger?

Got my screwdrivers today. They are nice. A little steel wool on the shafts to clean them up. The Mac stamp and part number are good on all.

Burrrp just finished 2 sloppy joes, I had the fixins simmering in the crock pot while I went to the beach. Wanted to see if I'd feel the full moon/solstice vibe there. I brought a collection of John Cheever's short stories with the idea to pick one at random and see if it would give me any food for thought. And also see if any of the surroundings at the beach "spoke" to me in a meaningful way. I have to say, yes on both accounts. When I closed the book and stood up, I noticed a youngster with a disability being helped to stand and throw a ball. There were a lot of people and I didn't see anyone messing with their phones. Another nice thing was the waves were gentle but big enough to body surf; it put me back to when I was a kid.

You can dip the shafts in metal ready.

Its an acid that removes rust and leaves a zinc coating behind
