I want to take the booster system off and run just the MC... but I'm not sure it's a "good" idea..
You just have to push harder. But they made a lot of cars without them. My buddy down the road did it.
Check the bore of the master I think you need 15/16. There is a thread on it here.

so - not really a good idea - I do want it to stop WELL
The pop sucked with them. That's why I went power and 4 wheel disk. Still a bit slow but 200% better than the stock manual.

Got a big cam in that thing?
You definitely lose efficiency and I think Hops is right you have to get a different MC (bigger bore) but they didn't always have boosters on and some don't have them

Ouch that is crusty, I would do a quick rebuild on it for sure or go with a late model jeep/Chrysler dual. You will need a adapter plate if you go that route.
Yeah I got a big shaft and need a vac pump. Wish I knew about hydro brakes before I did what I did.

well - you know it was a purpose built race car - I am just trying to bring her down to a more streetable beast.. smaller cam - smaller carb - and a better intake than the Torker II that was on there
