Well thought I was Christmas shopping this morning but turns out my mom called and had to take my dad to the ER this morning. He was up all night with pain below his rib cage. They ran tests and his heart is clear. His white blood count is up so they are running bloodwork to see what’s going on. My mom went home to sleep so I’m on hospital duty.

So, went to my buddy's place and was helping him put his motor together. Everything was going well degreed the cam everything until. we tried to put the intake on. The thing will not set down on the engine, hangs up on the valve cover rails, you can see the lip for the gaskets. These are not miss matched parts, it's the original motor out of the car, but the machine work was done 15 years ago. (resto put on hold to raise his granddaughter). It's a 375 horse 396. all I can think of is the guy that did the head work cut way to muck from the head surface. (shop long gone) He is really down as of last night Looking at trying to find new heads as this is all correct and 67 only parts, I guess. I took my oldest three on a 5 hour round trip, plus a 3 hour dance recital for my niece today. Came home to “I got the stocking stuffers”….. enough junk to fill 5 stockings each…. I took her purse and locked in my safe. Told her if she keeps this up, she gonna wake up to a Ramcharger pulled from the local junkyard on Christmas morning

Oh no! Pneumonia? Broken rib? Hope it isn't serious.

He did have pneumonia a few weeks ago. He was improving and seemed good. The doctors said he has a UTI infection and they are looking at a possible secondary infection but did not say from what yet. They are keeping him overnight. I’ll be back over there in the morning. They also want to do a endoscopy. Thanks guys for the thoughts and prayers.
